3/11 at Padres

Featured Replies

Will be on MLB Network tomorrow morning at 8am.

Saturday vs Cubs on WGN at 2pm.

Sunday vs Diamondbacks on whitesox.com at 3pm.

Spring forward an hour Sunday.

Just watched some of the spring highlights on MLB.com -- man, the Sox are slugging! Avi in particular looks short and quick to the ball. That oppo triple followed by the 400 ft humpback line dive was pretty impressive. Rollins showing some pop as well and that Davidson HR -- wow.

Obviously doesn't mean jack squat but it's better than looking like ass.

03/11 #WhiteSox scheduled pitchers: Carlos Rodon, Brandon Brennan, Zach Duke, Jordan Guerrero, Matt Lollis, Zach Phillips and Zach Putnam.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

i hope this power travels with them from Arizona in a month

Avi hit a homer.

He's raking this spring. Love it.

Matt Davidson 2 more hits, that one for an RBI. He's 7-for-16 with a double and two homers this spring.

The #WhiteSox hit 22 home runs in 31 Cactus League games last year. Only three short of that total through 1/3rd the games in 2016.

Hawkins tater. 8-0

And now Hawkins.

I hope that this is a split-squad Padres lineup. That is some ugly pitching.

Courtney Hawkins homers. White Sox lead Padres 8-0. 20 Sox HRs this spring, 4 today.

Weird spring. They're either destroying or being destroyed. I guess its to be expected when the soft parts of the rotation / bullpen are going.

Courtney Hawkins launches a home run in the fifth. Looks like it hit the top of a large concessions tent over the LF bullpen.

Carlos Rodon polishes off his fourth inning with a strikeout of Yangervis Solarte. No walks for him today, three strikeouts, two hits, 0 R.

I know it means nothing but I think it means something to have success in spring....if that makes any sense.

Very few teams can flip the switch so to speak.

The Rodominator is going to have a breakout season this year.

I don't like seeing Alexei in another uniform.

I agree. They are setting the tone for the season. I like what I've seen so far in Spring Training, and it looks like this team should be much more competitive than last years team.

I had my Debbie Downer moments over the course of the offseason, but the Sox really do have a shot at the AL Central. That's almost all a baseball fan could ask for.

Exactly. All you can ask for as a fan is good fun baseball. It is just entertainment at the end of the day.

It makes a whole lot of sense to me. This is exactly what we were wanting the ST to look like. Just keep it up!

Boom. Boom. Boom.

Mr.Brown is a wonder...Boom Boom Boom...My Brown makes thunder :)

PS: Yes, I read way too much Dr Seuss that the first thing that comes to my head is that. My daughter loves the book and especially loves that part.

According to Merkin, Rodon was working on some things and didn't throw a slider the entire game. Rodon said the last game where he didn't throw a single slider was in the middle school.

If he threw as good as he did without using his best pitch at all, then he's going to be flat out dominant when he works that pitch back into his arsenal.

I'm so pumped to see him this season.
