I would take any one of the 4 we gave up for Samardzija individually in exchange for the draft pick we recieved. Maybe not Ravelo but the rest of them are all gonna be solid.

Frazier has looked terrible so far (though it's only been a few at-bats).

It was a bad idea to trade Bassitt, Semien, Phegley and Ravelo for Samardzija.

Really? A player who can't play defense to save his life, a career backup catcher/platoon catcher, and a 4/5 starter (ceiling) in Bassitt over a comp pick?

Have you watched him play much at all in his career? He's just a little anxious. He goes through real hot and cold streaks but when he's hot the middle of the order is going to be real good.

Semien will learn how to play defense eventually, Phegley may grow into being a good C and I'd rather have Bassitt than 2 guys we have currently in the rotation.
