My boss got Sox season tickets. He is offering me five tickets to which ever game i want to see. Any suggestions? I am thinking the royals in june or the cubs in july.

I would avoid the Cubs games. Total amateur nights.

True. Maybe an NL team?

Go against a good team in June or July when you know it will be warm.

You'll have a great time.

I think the Washington series will be fun in June, but unfortunately on weekdays. 6/7-6/9.

Yankees on 7/4?

July 4th, Royals in June, Nats in June

Do the cubs series. It's going to be nuts this year if both teams are still playing this well.

Usually. I avoid them as well with my season tickets. I sell them on stub hub and make a good dent in paying for next year's season tickets.

It's so much awful trash talk at those games. "Hey you are wearing a sox hat. Ozzie stinks!"

Okay cool, man.

Pick one with a good give away/promotion.

The Hawaiian shirt game, the Sale Bobblehead, etc.

My buddy and I were getting harassed pretty hard by a Cubs fan in the UD last year.

I asked, "Hey, are you a Bears fan"

"Yea"

"Good, we get to suffer together soon"

He shut up after that.

f*** it, go to the Cubs games. I've been a bunch of them, they are always high energy, stadium is packed, and it's fun watching idiots fight and yell. Just don't be obnoxious and no one will give you trouble.

Ya, I've always had a blast at Sox-Cubs games. They're ridiculous but so am I so it works.

Besides that, Nats or Royals are probably the way to go.

Cubs Sox games this year will probably be pretty similar to a Donald Trump rally this year.

The Cub series will be epic. Imagine both teams still in 1st place. Plus do you want the park filled up with Cubs fans and getting more support than the Sox ? If you aren't bringing any little kids to the game I'd definitely go with the Cubs games and bring Sox fans with you.

So I've got this message out to a few of my friends and waiting on a response, but basically a buddy and I are in a search for a 3rd ticket partner for the Double Play ticket plan.

The rundown:

This plan includes 19 total games - All Sat/Sun games from June 11th through the end of the season. It also includes one Cubs/Sox game.

If you buy into this plan you are GUARANTEED all ALDS, one ALCS, one WS game in the amount of tix you buy in the same section, not same seats.

You are also in the group that gets the code with Full Season Tix holders and Hit and Run folks. The 7/14 game plans will get a separate code after for any Postseason tix opportunities. Then the general public. So my thinking is you are probably likely to get a decent amount of playoff games you want.

Now breaking down the math:

18 games/3 people is just a 6 game commitment.

It would cost $274 per person for 2 bleacher seats for the 6 games.

This includes an extra Cubs game in there. It would be my preference to sell those 2 seats -- even call it $100/piece (can see that being reasonable if both are doing well)

Working in that profit, the total per person should be about $200-225 per person for 2 tix to 6 weekend games. It would have to go some sort of draft process to pick the games.

This is about $17-19 a ticket.

Wondering if there is any interest level from anybody on this board.

When I checked in with the Sox this weekend the best available were Section 160, Row 10.

Pick a date that works for a full night out. Any team can be fun. Don't forget to thank him in some way. Preferably in a way that gets you an extra invite.

The fistfights will be back this year vs the Cubs and its so not worth it. The fans at those games are usually the lowest common denominator
