Buntingvus dying? If so it's because small ball is hard to do and folks want to wait for the three run homer. Put guys in scoring position which happened. I dint care about this slump excuse. Everyone slumps and can breakout

No, it's dying because it is a very flawed strategy that mathematically makes no sense.

Edited by Buehrle>Wood

How come the Sox can't hit when the pitching is good and can't pitch when the hitting is good?

It makes no sense.

Bunting is dying because giving outs away if f***ing stupid outside of very select scenarios. But hey armchair manager, you know better than all of us and 29 major league managers.

Not a bad walk. But now you have to throw strikes.

This ump...

The walk got Harvey out of the game at least.

Great outing for Quintana. Too bad he gets a loss.

Show some balls and score some runs.

Can't agree with that reasoning. Bunting is a valid and effective strategy. We had one out and two runners in scoring position and our bug hitter up

Hard luck

Lets score 3 runs now so the bullpen can blow another 2 run lead.

The Sacrifice Bunt: The Real Rally Killer

Good thing Rollins played

Good thing we had that veteran presence in the lineup in Jimmy.

There are certain situations where it is smart to bunt. 0-0 game in the 7th inning when your bullpen has been hot trash against a pitcher who has struggled the 3rd time through a line up with your 3 hole and most consistent hitter all year up is the exact time not to do it. Was a garbage call

Odds Avila hits a HR here? 1/1,000,000,000?

Please draw a walk Avila.

Has he even hit a ball to the track this year?

When Reed shuts you down your team sucks.

Avilas strategy of never swinging continues.

Addison Reed is not good enough to do that

He's got the look?

Showed a lot of fight right there

Same here. We are use to watching station to station baseball though. BTW one of the best bunters in the NL is Zack Grienke.
