has anybody been lookin' at what Joel Embiid has been doing? Monster, beast or whatever doesn't describe this dude. That size/athleticism/skill-set is no joke. He switched on to John Wall (yes, that john wall) the other night and EASILY kept him in front of him. Please let this man stay healthy. This guy is an all-time level talent.

Eh they gotta prove it. That 14 draft has to step up. Lots of longtime stars exited stage right. Aside from curry and Davis doesn't seem like we've really replenished compared to like '10-14 where the amount of top players young and old was best of my lifetime

I'm normally with you, but Towns/Davis are the only ones who are true top ten or close players. Greek freak is a nice player, and porzingis faded big time. He will need to prove year two.

 

But from three years ago when heat broke up we've lost bosh Duncan wade (pretty much) Garnett pierce Rose Howard Bryant and Ginobli with Parker not what he was

 

We've seen Curry Thompson David Irving and KAT take a leap, but others like Wall/Beal have been pretty inconsistent and Wiggins still pretty good but not a top 25 player.

That's not a very impressive list from 3 years ago if you consider what they were then.

They were still very good and living hall of famers. The 07-10 classes mixed with longtime superstars in a league more talented than today. Being excited about today's young stars is counting the chickens before they hatched, and so far this hatching has not gone according to plan or has been devastated by injuries.

The one and dones can't shoot. Went to the Heat-Timberwolves exhibition and top 10 pick Winslow, what a bricklayer. Wiggins? Still with much to prove shooting wise. NBA has to turn the D League into something special because these college guys need to be developed better. Baseball: Players need 4-5 years in the minors. NFL: Players need 4 years in college. NBA: We'll take 'em at 19.

Don't forget Durant! He sucks. Shoulda stayed in school. Carmelo Anthony? Awful shooter. Kyrie Irving? Can't hit a shot for his life.

Smell sucks but at least he can nail a 3 once in a while. If MCW was going to play heavy minutes, I could understand this trade, but for a guy who might play 10-15? They need shooters. Shooters are the new craze. GarPax will try to buck the trend.

I don't mind the move. I agree we need shooters, but MCW can play defense and maybe a change of scenery will help him. This is a solid guy coming off the bench (we aren't asking him to start). I agree this is an era where you need shooters, but hey, you don't have to do what everything else is doing to win. I think this was just one of those, lets move Snell while we can and get a youngish asset who still has talent and could potentially help. Technically, we could have used MCW a lot if Rose was still our point guard.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out what Snell was going to give us this year that he hadn't already given us.

Although MCW had hip surgery so he may be terrible in all facets now.
