  1. Not without trading someone they shouldn't. It's going to be very hard for them to make trades this offseason. They don't have any pieces that are disposable and desirable to other teams. This might sound nutzo, but I think they could get Gregory Polanco(Pirates) for RF for cheap, and it checks off the LH bat and decent defensive RF boxes.
  2. Here's the template for everyone PREAMBLE Establish where you see the White Sox at this point, and your mindset/philosophy/strategy in putting together the roster for the upcoming season. 3. Nagy is a clown, and needs to go. The dude is a slightly less eccentric Trestman.
  4. Why would you saddle a new GM with Nagy? I'm of the opinion that if you fire your GM the coach goes with him. If there is a lame duck coach, the GM job becomes less attractive to good candidates.
  5. I actually agree with this. The skill positions and defense are good, but the the QB, offensive line, and coaching suck ass. Arkush is on the radio saying that Pace and Nagy will be back but I think that's a mistake. Pace deserves to go down in flames with Trubisky, and Nagy can go with them.
  6. Question: Knowing what we know now, was the Mack trade a mistake? I think it's a huge gray area because if he wasn't here he'd be in Green Bay.
  7. I want them to fire Pace more than anyone else. No question that Nagy deserves to be fired, but Pace deserves it more.
  8. Can you really blame the defense for not caring?
  9. While Schwarber and Happ make a ton of sense from the Sox perspective, what do the Sox have that helps the Cubs and doesn't hurt the Sox for 2020?
  10. Not only that, but what do the Sox have that would help them, that Hahn would be willing to trade? Something like Lopez/Stiever for Schwarber/Happ is interesting. That's about all I can think of and I don't like it from the Sox perspective.
  11. Let's stop talking about Cub players. The Sox and Cubs have only made 2 trades in the last 15 years, m'kay. After getting bent over in the Q trade, I doubt Theo is going to call Hahn or answer his calls anytime soon.
  12. I'd laugh so hard. This franchise really is governed by Murphy's Law, and even that might be optimistic. Whatever can go wrong, will not only go wrong but will go wrong in the worst way imaginable.
  13. It's quite frankly unacceptable for them not to spend internationally. They're never going to have any sort of sustainable success until they enter the international market.
  14. I'm excited. I can't wait to see what Bo can do on the PP and in general. I just hope he's physically up for the task. Good riddance to Gus it seems like. I think there's going to be a huge shakeup shortly.
  15. Encarnacion makes 20M and he's off too. So add that.
  16. No, they won't. Judge and Sanchez are 1st year Arb, no?
  17. Gardner, Gregoirius and Sabathia just off the top of my head. That's $30+M right there.
  18. They have a bunch of contracts coming off this year.
  19. There has been a ton of speculation that NYY and LAD will be fairly active this winter. Especially NY.
  20. There was also a different dynamic last year with which teams in particular were buying. This year a lot of the big spenders are going to be in the market. That didn't happen last year.
  21. Scherzer has given everything he has. You have to pull him here, especially with Cole coming to finish the game.
  22. Obviously Cole. Fewer injuries, better pitcher, 2 years younger.
