Yeah, he homered the second time I saw him. Another time I specifically got tickets to see him face Sale. I sat in the left center bleachers right behind him--in the first inning they had a 12(?) pitch battle that was the longest plate appearance of either of their careers to that point. Trout worked a walk.

Yaaay. Can't wait to see him on the South Side in September. I've tried to see him every year since his rookie season--the one year I missed out, 2014, I had tickets but the game was postponed and I couldn't do the make-up game.

Calling people gay as an insult because they don't tweet back to you is pretty bad. EDIT: also, interesting note that I didn't realize until I bought the tickets today: his projected next start at home, next Friday against Boston.....is the Sox's first ever Pride Night.

You guys know that 2026 is already confirmed to have 48 teams, right? 16 groups of 3; top two go through. Champion still plays 7 matches, but with one group match replaced by a knockout round of 32 match. They were mulling over expanding Qatar to 48 as well which would necessitate other Gulf states hosting matches. They tabled that vote so it probably won't happen.

It's the World Cup. Of course I'm excited. Bummer to be without the US but I always watch the entire tournament anyway. I'll keep an extra close eye on Spurs players (shame on you for ignoring the five of them in the England team, Bazox), obviously. This tournament does feel a little icky but I"m pretty set on boycotting 2022 and I don't think I have the willpower to skip two consecutive World Cups...

The Bulls selection is fairly limited (Tuesday and Wednesday nights), but pretty frigging good deals on lower level seats at the UC and club level at the G-Rate. Starts at $49 (each package contains two tickets to each game and chocolates); I picked up the $129 one for Bulls lower level and Club at the Sox. Only $10 in shipping fees so $140 total. Pretty damn good as I've never sat in those locations at either spot--winds up being $35 per ticket.
