Originally from Chicago. Born and raised on the South Side. Went to Brother Rice high school and the University of Kentucky. Have been in the sports media since 1978. Worked at three TV stations doing sports from 1981 through 1995. Have worked for various newspapers and as a free lance sports writer. For the last eight years I've been doing the play by play for all Idaho State University women's basketball games. For nine years I was the studio host for Idaho State University football games. Last year I also moved into the color analyst position.
In my career I've covered a Super Bowl (XX-Bears / Patriots), two Kentucky Derby's, worked for CBS in 2001 at the NCAA men's basketball tournament west regional in Boise and covered the women's basketball Final Four in Tacoma in 1989.
Have met some incredible people and had experiences I never thought I'd have while growing up.
I've been very, very lucky.
