Adam Jones

Recommended Posts

I know OF isn't really a concern for CWS with Jimenez locked in, Robert hopefully up early, but why the hell doesn't Adam Jones have a market yet again?

Can play CF and RF, coming off a 16 HR season with a .260 AVG, good veteran presence to man CF until Robert is up or backup off the bench

If CWS didn't have interest in him last year however, I doubt they do this year

If CWS tosses him Jon Jay money that may be sufficient

If he needs to be saved from Japan I'd be happy to do it

Adam Jones has no market because he is a shell of his former self. He's 34 year's old, can't play CF anymore, and has atrocious OBP. Sox need to do better.

-0.4 WAR last year.

Yes. He is not a terrible hitter but not a plus anymore and has lost his defensive ability.

The sox don't need a below average hitting DH/corner guy.

This is a TON of money to give a first year foreign player in NPB. This’ll be very interesting. Orix is a backwards organization that can’t get out of its own way and really needs a couple power hitters.

Good for them on taking the gamble. We’ll see if it works out.

I’m still waiting for somebody to talk about Adam Jones... there’s a picture of him but you all are talking about some baseball player in Japan.

WTF.
