Interesting that Burke starts his pregame warmup throwing a football in the outfield , then he does long toss with the baseball..

Tied on a Delauter HR. Top 3. Jose Ramirez is ice cold since his return.

Cheering for Guards to beat Tigers is just kind of weird. Especially since CLE has the last two Central titles. But DET more dangerous post season team...at least they were.

Rooting for Cleveland as well. Would be nice to get the Tigers down heading into the weekend and then we put them down for good. We have 7 left vs Detroit and only 3 vs Cleveland. Much more of an opportunity for the Tigers to make up ground on us.

Rooting for a meteor in this Detroit Tribe series. Probably prefer Cle takes 2/3, cool off Tigers a bit.

At a Sox game with my boy....Enjoying a Cuban Comet sandwich and Nancy Faust on the organ....life might get better than this, but not by much.

Yep with Rangers 2023-25. "While he coached for the Rangers, the pitching staff posted season earned run averages (ERA) lower than 4.00 for the first time since 1990, doing so for four consecutive seasons."

Mat Ishbia’s estimated net worth has fallen by more than $3B since March.
"That (previous 70s and 80s Steinbrenner world) environment has been replaced by global multimedia streams of revenue exponentially bigger than the games we loved. Cherish what you had it’s gone and isn’t coming back. Players are getting paid tens of millions in addition to endorsements, ownership is a global financial powerhouse, we’re not in Kansas anymore!" Rusty Nail/Greg775 9m ago "Look at much revenue they are making by streaming services….no more local games on your favorite app. And concessions, tickets and parking are certainly never going to be affordable again for regular families." I would think by now that Yankees' fans would know we're all just 2-3 years away from having to pay ESPN/Disney for a leveraged package of ALL MLB broadcast. The Yankees and Dodgers RSN's will have to cede some of their market control/monopoly powers to the rest of the teams in the league in order to level/flatten the playing field, at least somewhat. But the days of free local broadcasts are surely coming to an end soon enough, except for FOX NBC ABC national broadcasts. And not sure how this would be any different than the Big Ten or FIFA/World Cup selling media rights to private investors and giving hundreds of millions in proceeds to universities or various country football associations. Only course, even then, the biggest brand teams or countries still want the lion's share of the benefits since their brands are essentially being leveraged to "benefit the many."

Sox interested in Jorge Mateo
This is the only logical explanation I can think of too. Acuna has actually been fairly good the last month or so, and outperformed Mateo in that time. Mateo does have a connection to Fuller though.

That is an interesting thought.

Starting to worry that Chase's injury might be more serious than anticipated. I don't think he's in the lineup tonight again. Would be a huge blow but Mateo would be a nice stopgap.

It’s the only movie I’ve gone to movies twice to see.

Sox interested in Jorge Mateo
Would probably be better for him. Gets the rest of his pro rated 40 man salary and can decide to take the rest of year off, go back to Japan, or try and find a new club. That said, he'll always be a big leaguer for those three weeks, even if he never gets back, he's in a very small club. I see Boston is apparently going to DFA Jake Rogers. This would obviously be an option for the Sox.

And why is Jeffrey Bezos taking a 30% share in Liverpool FC? Because it will likely be a good investment long-term. (And they, Apollo, will also get a board seat on the management team.) "The agreement, which mixes credit and equity, marks one of the largest private capital infusions into a baseball franchise in recent years. The transaction is expected to close in the coming days. Apollo Sports Capital CEO Al Tylis will join the Yankee Global Enterprises board, with the board expanded by one seat to make room for him. Hal Steinbrenner will remain managing general partner and continue as the team’s MLB control person." from Apollo PR "Apollo Partner Robert Givone, said: “This is precisely the kind of bespoke capital solution Apollo Sports Capital was built to deliver, and we look forward to being a long-term partner to this storied franchise.” Launched in 2025, Apollo Sports Capital is a permanent capital platform providing capital solutions across the global sports and live events ecosystem." nypost.com - Mat Ishbia’s estimated net worth has fallen by more than $3B since March.
