1) I always thought the Sportsvision/Pay TV channel flopped because the Chicagoland area was not wired for cable at the time. 2) I've always thought that the building the stadium at the present location where they did and the terrible stadium design was the biggest mistake of JRs ownership. Having 45% of the seats in the upper deck was crazy. Its simply too high up there. I'm hoping the new stadium design is much better than the present one.

It’s pretty funny every time Portnoy gets caught out like this, all you see is collages of his photos standing on his tippy toes because he is so paranoid about his height and people thinking he is short lol. It’s also pretty funny that the exact same thing happened to Gronk a while back, he was on the field pounding the ground and everyone thought he was done, but he came back after 2 games and was fine. When the injury happened, Portnoy immediately made a sad boy video with his hoodie pulled tight around his face like he was a teenage kid who had his heart broken, and he pouted for a 3 minute clip about losing Gronk

They are 9-2 against the Astros this year.

Mariners have been historically awful in the 2nd half, their SB Nation site had a really good piece on how badly they've underperformed. That said, they should be highly motivated to beat the Astros.

In my mind the perfect night tonight is Sox, Rangers win. Guardians. Astros lose. First place. Magic number of 2 for the pos-season and 3 for the 2 seed. I’d prefer Texas in the post-season over Houston thus the Rangers win tonight.

I don't feel like these guys understand what pressure is, they basically had to take 3 of 4 from Detroit and controlled all 4 games into the 6th inning or later, and an over managed bullpen cost them game 2, I'm optimistic they handle KC (Series wins: @KC 2-2, @CHI 3-0, @CHI 2-1) Kay, Fedde, and Martin have all lost a game to KC this year, 2 of those games were SHO 2-0 losses to Bubic, and Wacha. Bubic was traded to LAD, however Wacha last pitched on the 20th, so KC could bump him up to the 25th if they decided to wanna put their thumb on the scale and honestly that wouldn't shock me edit: the 3rd loss was a game that Avila started, and he gave up 4 ER/6 H/3 BB in 4 IP, but Kay gave up 5 R (3 ER) in 3.2IP, so the Kay start will be the game to watch IMO

Moncada came across as lazy, but that could just be appearances. I would, however, look at how much Vargas has improved vs. Moncada's stagnant and eventual declining performance as evidence. To me, it seems Vargas really wants it - success, skill, the rewards. Moncada seemed to want the rewards only.

It was always a poorly designed stadium that missed out on the hindsight of the incredible ballparks that came after it. While it is perfectly fine, it definitely is loaded with opportunity cost of what could have been done with a few more bucks out of pocket.

Maybe they can name the parking lot exits after him?
