Shadows starting to take effect with Cade Smith looming. Doesn't look very good for the Rays.

Schriffen: "It's been an amazing three years". Implies that them calling Sox games together is over. Could Stone be on his way out?
I am of the belief the Schriff should not be back. But to use this as an excuse would be more than lame. You gave him the PTO, he has other gigs, this was most likely set up weeks in advance. How was he supposed to know the Sox would clinch that day? It has seemed apparent to most he unlikely wasn’t coming back next year any way, if he blows off the Vegas thing, maybe he is out there as well. When it’s time to announce it, just keep it classy, it isn’t very hard.

Let's look at the bright side - the Sox are going to have an absolute STAR in Caleb Bonemer
You make a number of great points. The failures of the past don't guarantee continued failure, or success. Yet, for decades franchise like the Yankees keep winning and franchise like the W. Sox do not. I wonder what the differences are? Why doesn't hiring some great new talent changes things in a more permanent way? Second question I'm curious about, what did Getz do in player development or as the assistant GM that you feel we should use to evaluate his almost ten years with the club?

Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
This is why it's so frustrating being a White Sox fan.

I think pitchers outta stop throwing middle/middle fastballs to Petey Halpin. Newcomb did the same a month ago and Halpin took him deep too.

Guardians are a pretty darn good team if they get offensive contributions from people not named Ramirez.

I think Wayne Randazzo is the overwhelming favorite.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
If you know anything about transportation and rails, Chicago is a MASSIVE bottleneck in national train traffic because the infrastructure hasn't been updated in like a century in some cases. This is moreso on the freight side than the people side, but those both affect each other for sure. I have no idea if THIS particular facility will make much of a difference or not, but this IS a problem.

If this vision/version of legislation/discussion seals the deal...I wonder how much or what would be different from what was being discussed the past couple of years??- The Official Scoreboard watching thread
Rays striking out just as much as the Sox did against Williams.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
He means new legislation being crafted would totally leave it up to the Bears where they want to build. My guess is that the Bears want AH as they own 326 acres there and that's where they'll go, but it won't be the IL General Assembly voting specifically for the AH site. "The state of Illinois will leave it up to the Chicago Bears to decide whether to build a stadium in the city or suburbs, but the team will have both options under a proposal being discussed ahead of the upcoming veto session of the General Assembly."- Let's look at the bright side - the Sox are going to have an absolute STAR in Caleb Bonemer
Fair enough. But a certain someone's husband mysteriously spent 6-8 years in the political capital of China, aka Beijing. Also HQ for the Chinese version of the CIA just down the street from Tiananmen Square. Who is HIS leader, lol?- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Wow...interesting! But also exhausting...get it done one way or the other! (personally much prefer it be in IL)- Schriffen: "It's been an amazing three years". Implies that them calling Sox games together is over. Could Stone be on his way out?
You have about three choices here. Pay the person you pick enough to where they have no desire to work other jobs. Share the person with other jobs Pick someone crappy enough they have no other jobs.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
It means the city, this is the first two lines of the article- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I don't have a subscription...does Chicago mean the city? Or is he lumping AH with Chicago?- The Official Scoreboard watching thread
Guardians score first... TB has their work cut out for them today against the Big Rig.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
