Charlotte needs a 1B, so this is fine.
-
Yah, I didn't really expect the Sox to sign Pete Alonzo to play at Charlotte.

It's a camp invite who cares
-
Luis Robert Savings will be spent. Getz is ACTIVE More turd additions to the roster.
-
Best friend is a Giants fan. I hope he doesn’t make our team.
-
He's not really an OF anymore right?
-
I read the opposite from Getz after the “Cuban Mike Trout” trade.

.376 OBP in '23-24 then an absolute crash and burn in '25

Mets get Freddy Peralta from Brewers
Harry Chappas replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Peralta seemed to not live up to the hype in the postseason. If the Brewers rotation can stay healthy they will be a lot of fun to watch. If Woodruff makes it to July healthy and they are in the running, they should shut him down until mid-September. -

They could be the bully in that division just spending. That was the complaint in the previous offseason. The Cardinals are not the Cardinals anymore since they no longer spend.
-
Oh, you were talking about Newcomb. Yes, that’s what they’re saying because they have no one else right now. But if you sign Giolito or another vet he’s easy to bump to the pen.
-
I don't think he is guaranteed to though. I don't even think Burke is guaranteed a spot in the rotation. Adding in another legit SP option would be wise IMO - let the rest of the lot battle for a spot to stay relevant. I'd argue we are looking at Smith, Martin, and Kay as the only locks in the rotation right now.
-
Sure along with Pereira, Acuna, Hill, Baldwin, Kelenic, etc. Throw a bunch of these guys at the wall and see what sticks. Hope to find two mlb players out of em, even if they’re simply non-negative WAR players it would be a small win.
-
Agreed
-
I'm hoping his starting career here if there is one is short lived. He belongs in the pen.
-
It kinda seems like they are giving him the opportunity to start though.
- Today

Wouldn't be the first time

It would be wild to assume that minor league deal means will only play at AAA. The Sox have churned their rosters like Amish making butter the last few years. These dudes are almost certainly going to see Chicago for some period of time, more than a few of them will see significant playing time.
-
MJ on a minor league deal would be nice

Jim has officially given his verbosity to Fegan, for the worse.
