  2. I know it's a dream come true for the kid and happy for him but am I the only one who would rather not have any of our prospects near this losing environment with this toxic team and that locker room?
  3. Kopech is as bad a reliever as the Sox have had in a while. And Leasure is overrated apparently. He's been pathetic. Tonight was another game that proves there always will be one aspect of the game that prevents victory. Tonight the starting pitching was A-plus, the hitting and defense were good nuff. But the bullpen was an F-minus and that's the ballgame. Of course I heard on the radio Sox rank last in pitching (I think it's ERA) and last in BA. Way to put together a roster. You'd think they want to lose, wink wink, tank, tank.
  4. That's just not going to happen. Although Hahn should obviously be more under the microscope than Getz.
  5. Pillar? Compare him to entire Sox fWAR as an overall team.
  6. Kopech is just wasting everyone's time and money at this point. Just release him and be done with it.
  7. If the Sox could get him for nothing and he replaces Lopez at 2B, fine. But he’s never been much of a hitter himself and I doubt he increases his value in 6-7 weeks before the deadline to garner much of anything in a trade.
  8. He retired after his last season with the Sox in 2018.
  9. One more loss for being back on track for 40-120...40/41 and 120-122
  10. Incredibly, well maybe not, this was the 13th time the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later...and lost! It also is the 6th time just in the last 10 games!!!!!!!!!!! You can't make this stuff up can you? Now halfway to 100 losses in the books. It is also the third time Kopech has been directly responsible for losing a late lead.
  11. This is just categorically untrue, unless you're ONLY counting 2024. But then you can't use the term "always" if that's the case.
  12. He's a 14th round pick in his rookie season and he's been pretty solid. PItching is hard. He'll be fine.
  13. Leasure is the perfect example of a young, talented ballplayer being mishandled by a manager and having it negatively effect his career.
  14. That's what I said too. Read your comment now. U were first.
  15. Considering he's in his 10th year of professional baseball and still hasn't figured it out, I doubt he ever had a lot of value in 24. Front office's aren't that dumb.
  16. Probably because everybody tends to be very reactionary and only look at things on a surface level. Ky Bush has a rough year in the year he's traded, and he's a bum, despite being a relatively quick riser with a very ideal makeup 6'6/LH/killer mustache. Leasure's had a nice year and has a terrible inning tonight, and he's a bum. Leasure's fb has always been a better pitch than Kopech's, but people don't notice because he sits mid 90's rather than high 90's.
  17. Update: 7-8 teams have lost any interest in Michael Kopech after tonight’s game.
  18. Ozzie is right this dude has no idea how to get the last 6 to 9 outs of a game. Two seasons with no defined roles out of the pen, two seasons of disastrous results. Not saying Kopech would improve or anything but what was the plan tonight? Another 2 inning save? What a horrible waste of a wonderful performance out of Fedde.
  19. Well that was revolting. Again, it's tough to blow a 4-0 lead in the eighth. Good luck to whichever team wants Kopech. And Leasure probably has lost trade value. Looks like he's throwing meat up there. Julks and Robert had nice games for all the trade lovers.
  20. Does he have a nice savings account? Maybe a CD?
  21. My tv went to the Padres game. At least we don’t have female announcers. Ffs. They can’t let us have anything.
