We have hope, we got The Pope!
Seriously. Krishnamoorthi said the two shared a laugh, and he found it “shocking” that the leader of the Catholic Church was indeed paying attention to his beloved team. For his part, Krishnamoorthi brought the pope an unexpected gift: a Chicago Cubs jersey.

I agree with you on the bullpen being taxed. Hopefully with the expanded roster and a fresh Martin it could find some relief. The Sox bullpen has been outstanding for the most part and has answered the call from Venable. They have some studs in the pen.- Sports Media Discussion
I don’t think Audacy is doing very well and I read 104.3 the Score is not doing well in the morning spot. Moving on from Mully is probably financial. Harris wasn’t really a fit, that show needed a driver when they got rid of Bernstein. I haven’t listened to the Score much since Bernstein got fired, but only tune in to listen to Spiegs (who I met at the Ozzie Guillen number retirement game) and Haugh. I mostly just listen to Bernstein and Abbatacola now.- 8/22 GT Sox/Mets, 6:10. Jump on the momentum
The Sox need to get on a nice roll and put some serious distance between them and the 3 other contenders in the Division. Start by sweeping the Mets and Rangers.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
😢😭- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
What did this billionaire do at the trade deadline to fund (in his way to borrow/finance) acquisition of two pitchers at the trade deadline to help this team? This is ALL about the billionaire. Watch how much it costs to get to the train yard, buy tickets and concessions.- And that's a Rogers walk off White Sox Winner!!!
17 years should produce 8 World Series Championships give or take.- Magic Number
It would be you- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
Hopefully there will be an attorney or two representing fans and residents opposed to this. Right now this looks like a one sided ass-kicking. Lay down and take it from this guy, right?- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I can only speak for myself in this matter but all I care about is what he does for the White Sox. Period, end of story. Anything else is of little to no concern of mine. I don't care where he's from, what businesses he owns, what his political feelings are or what religion he is. If he's willing to invest the time and most importantly the money to reverse the rot that has infused in this franchise from top to bottom over the last almost 20 years, I'm all for the guy 100%...no make that 110%- And that's a Rogers walk off White Sox Winner!!!
My observation is that at 20, everybody wants to hear what you think about anything. You're young, your viewpoint is interesting in that it's a fresh take on something. At 40, nobody really wants to hear it, but they'll let you finish out of respect, then get back to what they were talking about. At 60, they just talk over you, like, "Oh, I couldn't imagine even you were interested in what you had to say, so I just started talking." I'll report back in 17 years what 80 is like. I don't expect it to get better.- We have hope, we got The Pope!
Raja will meet the Imam next and present him with a Hidden Creek Farm Pork Sampler.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
Look at the CN rail yard in Harvey. Put that right next to Armor Park and the neighborhood there? A 4 story train warehouse right on 35th street? As Hawk might say, you have got to be bleepin' me Consider the 120 year history of the Daniel Burnham designed Armor Park (put a train yard right next to that) and the historical home of the White Sox home of their defeat of the Chicago Cubs at South Side park in 1906. Baseball is largely tied to tradition. There is no tradition at the train yard. The Petco Park analogy is absurd. The views from the park are largely unimportant, as they are at Wrigley. An open air stadium no longer makes sense in Chicago. The canal is a joke and the condition may get worse over time. (see the ongoing Brandon lock project which hopefully will prevent flying Asian carp and other invasive species from getting into the Great Lakes). This isn't the Three rivers. It's a gross, mucky, shallow canal that still gets sewage overflow. What does Ishbia, a Detroit native and Winnetka resident, know (or care) about the South side? Nothing. Why did/would the ISFA sell anything to Ishbia? It is clearly against their interests. Oh, also bought and paid for. Why are majority stock owners including Mellody Hobson Lucas and the Reinsdorfs allowing this guy to do whatever he wants? I guess they are bought and paid for like the Mayor and Alderman. Look, this entire thing is driven by an entitled billionaire that is propelling his boyhood dream to own a baseball franchise and a new stadium and now he is proceeding like a runaway freight train. I suspect that with all the money Ishbia has, he has hired a few shills to promote this. Nice try with the sale job, but I'm not buying it. It does appear that no one can stop this guy and I am aware of that. But it doesn't mean I am going to hold back my feelings about this as someone who has been a White Sox fan all my life and knows Chicago.- 8/21 Games
I don't see Cannon having the stuff to succeed in any role, including relief. There's a reason the Sox saw what they saw and have kept him down all year imo.- 8/22 GT Sox/Mets, 6:10. Jump on the momentum
If we happened to meet them in October, I'm more worried about the Yankees starting pitching to be honest.- We have hope, we got The Pope!
Reading that, I am happy that Raja lost that Senate race.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
A few thoughts from the 2 videos above: In the first video, Nelson doesn't say he thinks the project should be stopped. He says that Amtrak needs to do a better job of reaching out to the community to discuss their concerns and need to be better prepared for the next meeting. He very succinctly sums up the mixed feelings about all of this: The possibility of building a PNC/Petco-type park with a skyline backdrop and along an expanding riverwalk is very exciting. But, then there's the issue of what they would be leaving behind in Bridgeport. He floats the idea that they could possibly add a BNSF Metra stop at the site if they build a stadium there. Wow, that would be awesome. That's a direct pipeline to LaGrange, Western Springs, etc. and southern DuPage all the way out to Aurora. The Metra Southwest Service runs along those tracks too and that services SW Suburbs like Orland Park.- And that's a Rogers walk off White Sox Winner!!!

From MLB.com story today. This comes on the heels of Fegan reporting the pitching staff is "exhausted" a few days ago: Workload finally showing up: White SoxSince July 1, White Sox relievers have combined for 3,278 pitches thrown, the most in the Majors. Only three other teams have reached 3,000: the Padres, Pirates and A’s. The Sox are the Cinderella story of the 2026 season, but bullpen usage is threatening to move the clock to midnight. The good news? In recent years, evaluating innings, pitches and "pulls" has not been as predictive of a September faltering as skill. Massive workload alone isn't fatal. Still, there's reason for concern. Chicago relievers' K-BB% fell dramatically this month, from over 14% in each of the previous three months to 10.9% in August. Their underlying Stuff+ also sits at a season-worst 97 this month. A lot of arrows are pointing up in Chicago, but one pointing down is bullpen performance.- 8/22 GT Sox/Mets, 6:10. Damnit it was Stanton not Judge. So I’m spreading false information but my statement still stands #yeahhhhbudddy- Magic Number
