  1. Past hour

  2. Chris Getz is a continuation of a long line of loyal JR employees. He was trained by THE Kenny Williams and the amazing Rick Hahn and served faithfully under them. He has been involved in top Sox management since 2017. You can ignore everything that happened with player development since 2017 and believe this is a new, improved Getz. And honestly that makes for a much better winter.
  3. To clarify, imaging after he pitched a few games with the Sox it seems.
  4. Doesn’t sound like a team going all in
  5. Wait, is this for real? Getz admitted that this came up in the physical for Castillo during the trade, and he still gave up Boston Smith and took on millions to acquire him?
  6. You are correct. I guess we should blame the Director of Player Development when Vaughn was drafted. The other Getz.
  7. Don't worry. We're going to rub it in SS2K5's stupid idiot face when Bonemer comes up here and dominates.
  8. To me, they acted like a team that had money to spend but wanted cost certainty before the lockout for a year.
  9. When did we ever operate with a well below median payroll when competing under Jerry?
  10. You keep saying this, but they took on considerable money at the deadline. Jerry has always refused eating contracts before the final year and they didn’t want Dominguez on the roster any longer. Stupid way to approach things, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t money to spend. I don’t think people are realizing how ridiculously low our payroll was last year or how much a $120M would be relative to the rest of the league or what we have historically spent.
  11. I think it might have caused him to change his swing. Seemed to me his was lunging towards the plate more this year, which caused him to get under fastballs high and outside and then unable to change his bat path on low and in sliders
  12. Sox still won’t commit to starting Taylor or Hagen
  13. Possibly damaged goods when he was acquired, as the imaging on his shoulder was bad according to Getz today
  14. Until Bonemer comes up and turns into Frank Thomas, you haven't proven you opening statement true.
  15. No, you see, Jerry Reinsdorf, a billionaire, makes stupid decisions because he's cheap. He forces everyone who works for him to make the wrong move, which costs him billions in money and value, and that's how he remains chairman of the team. He once told a joke to a fellow owner that a good goal is to always finish in 2nd place, and we can interpret that as being his life's credo, but he fails at even that, which loses him billions of dollars, because he's cheap.
  16. I did preface my statement with “If he truly had an injury”. That actually wouldn’t require force.
  17. Andrew Vaughn made his debut in 2021. Getz became GM in 2023.
  18. Thanks, how did he get that info? I guess I can reach out to him on twitter. I am curious to see what his 2025 and early 2026 look like prior to his back spasms. I am not convinced Colson ever got back to 100% and was either playing through it or was mentally aware of it. Prior to the spasms, his K% was 29 as it was in 2025. I know he said he was perfectly healthy and his issues stemmed from a mental lapse, but I am not sure I believe it.
  19. Cheap due to all the above is one that was missed.
  20. "Force"? Should they have tied him to the cuck chair? LOL. There's this thing called "The Union".
  21. This is one way to respond to somebody proving your points wrong.
  22. There is always that. Poor drafting sets up development for failure.
  23. Today

  24. Weren't they interested in him before?
