  1. Past hour

  2. I did preface my statement with “If he truly had an injury”. That actually wouldn’t require force.
  3. Andrew Vaughn made his debut in 2021. Getz became GM in 2023.
  4. Thanks, how did he get that info? I guess I can reach out to him on twitter. I am curious to see what his 2025 and early 2026 look like prior to his back spasms. I am not convinced Colson ever got back to 100% and was either playing through it or was mentally aware of it. Prior to the spasms, his K% was 29 as it was in 2025. I know he said he was perfectly healthy and his issues stemmed from a mental lapse, but I am not sure I believe it.
  5. Cheap due to all the above is one that was missed.
  6. "Force"? Should they have tied him to the cuck chair? LOL. There's this thing called "The Union".
  7. This is one way to respond to somebody proving your points wrong.
  8. There is always that. Poor drafting sets up development for failure.
  9. Weren't they interested in him before?
  10. Chase Meidroth is a Gold Glove finalist for 2B along with Michael Massey and Cole Young. Here are their fielding numbers at 2B: Meidroth: +10 FRV, 0 DRS, 1275.2 innings Massey: +8 FRV, +5 DRS, 994.1 innings Young: -4 FRV, +16 DRS, 1350.1 innings Massey has the most consistent numbers between the 2 systems but the least amount of innings at 2B. DRS and FRV disagree on Meidroth and Young quite a bit. If you take the middle point of the 2 systems, Meidroth is +5, Massey is +6.5, and Young is +6. I think Young being so polarizing on the 2 systems along with FRV technically being more trustworthy than DRS should eliminate him. I don't think there's a wrong answer between Meidroth or Massey. Meidroth is currently the favorite to win the award on Kalshi at 47%. 2nd place is McKinstry at 37%, but he is not a finalist. So I expect the odds to change there soon. Tristan Peters is not a finalist in CF despite being one of the best CFers in baseball. It's Rafaela's award to lose, but I feel like Peters deserved a finalist spot over Steven Kwan given Kwan only played part time in CF.
  11. If AJ is telling the truth, I also want to know why Getz and Venable didn’t have the balls to force Castillo to the DL if he truly had an injury while he was posting a 6+ ERA and doing nothing for the team in his starts.
  12. Z.Collins as well…another high K guy Then you have Vaughn Sheets Madrigal Burger
  13. Old, coming back from an injury, nearly washed-up, or all of the above?
  14. The link I posted with Foul Territory talking with Josh Nelson has a lot of the info you are looking for. Nelson broke down the strikeouts against high speed fastballs.
  15. Especially above the belt or elevated fastballs Killed Mune Benintendi and Braden, too
  16. Weather Stadium Entertainment District—-destination ballpark No other nhl nfl nba team…more corporate sponsors What the Sox don’t have…but they do have the much bigger media market, no Dodgers or Giants or DBacks, bigger population base They also spent big adding all those bullpen arms like Hendriks Kimbrel Kelly and Graveman in addition to carrying the three long term extensions Finally three year deal for Mr. Steak & Potatoes Abreu wasn’t cheap, either
  17. Yeah, more short-sighted or "penny wise, dollar foolish" than anything. History has shown he's willing to increase the payroll after more money starts rolling in thanks to increased attendance after a winning season. But, he always stops just short of really putting this franchise over the top. Their big "All In" move (which became their advertising slogan that year) that I can think of was to sign the one-dimensional, 32-year old Adam Dunn to a four-year contract. Even with the infamous Hahn rebuild where "the money will be spent", he wouldn't commit to Machado or Harper and instead the Sox spread all that payroll space they had on B-level free agents like Keuchel and Grandal plus trying to outsmart the market by signing their young, unproven talent to extensions. Not to mention that this has taken place on top of not investing enough in scouting, player development, international scouting, etc. Look at the Padres. Yeah, they have no WS titles or pennants to show for their actions, but they now draw 3M a year and were sold for nearly $4B thanks to fielding exciting teams and developing a top-notch ballpark.
  18. How and where can I see what Colson's Whiff% is against 96+mph fastballs? Is there a way to see what that looks like in the first half vs second half? Playing around with Statcast I am not finding that option.
  19. Well, he’s likely in the rotation next year due to taking up $22.75 million of payroll so hopefully he is productive.
  20. At least he's not arrogant.
  21. I'm not sure any front office could have developed these 3 bums. League just whiffed on their scouting reports on these guys IMO.
  22. Today

  23. You will be ready to dump in very shortly after his debut. Just like always. I can't wait for the inevitable Kaleb and they rushed him posts.
  24. Caught this yesterday, what a blunder bringing him in was. His -0.9 WAR over just 6 starts and 9 appearances with the Sox likely cost them the division, then he pulls s%*# like this. Fire him into the sun and eat the money.
