  1. Past hour

  2. Dude, you need to learn that not everyone has the same opinions as you. If somebody calling the White Sox mediocre triggers you that much look in the mirror, because I'm not pressed about it.
  3. Oh please tell me what we have disallowed
  4. He also said "I'm used to being mediocre because I'm a Sox fan" or some s%*# and got really upset that people thought the Sox had a decent enough June. He is the king of "lighten up."
  5. Mets doing Mets s%*#. I don't really want this guy unless it's for someone of no real consequence and we eat some salary.
  6. Actually, you're not allowed to think that on here.
  7. Sure, but Peralta sucks. If it's, like, Wolkow and Smith for Goodman...nice knowin ya, guys.
  8. Exactly. The odds are this season will end in an excruciating defeat (as a University of Wisconsin and Green Bay Packers fan I know of excruciating defeats) so let the joy of the regular season run through you! This is fun!
  9. lol last week weren’t you getting annoyed about CST? Come on man I’m just trying to say we don’t need “DONT LOSE” at the beginning of a game thread
  10. The black eye isn’t their preformance in close games - it is their production with RISP and less than two outs. If they had better production in that regard, they’d likely be something like 28-8 in one run games and our division lead would be somewhere around 5 games.
  11. Sometimes it feels like you forget you are on a messageboard of like minded individuals who have all been lifelong fans and have seen all the bullshit you have seen. I think this is a ride you need to start enjoying for the scenery and stop worrying about where and how it ends
  12. Its not realistic yet theyve already been swept by the Rays IN Chicago. Right...Everybody needs to lighten up its not that serious.
  13. In Peralta’s last 4 games he has: 5.1 IP / 7 ER 4.1 IP / 2 ER 4.2 IP / 1 ER 4 IP / 5 ER If we are looking to UPGRADE our rotation with pitchers that can give us length and keep us in games… I really do not understand why anyone would want this to be one of our new guys. I wouldn’t give up even Wolkow’s jock strap for him. What indication do we have that we’re going to get the Peralta of the past? PASS.
  14. The Sox, at 21-15, currently have the second best record in one-run games in the AL and fourth best in all of MLB. The Sox 21 one-run wins is the most in the majors.
  15. "Don't get swept" is not being realistic. Cmon, man.
  16. Not at all, trying to be realistic, win a game then go from there...avoid longer losing streaks, stay in what is still (for now) a four team race. Especially with (again for now) the way the pitching assignments line up this weekend. Win...a...game.
  17. Hopefully two competent starting pitchers. They can survive with the mediocre catching if they absolutely have to but you have to have the pitching down the stretch.
  18. Bring in Menechino!
  19. Now this is a take that I just don’t and will never get. Colson’s line over a year is something we should be salivating over. He’s streaky and he is young. Not a finished product. The only intention of this thread was to suggest a move down one spot in the lineup while he works on evolving one approach to his offensive game. We shouldn’t deal in extremes but who am I kidding…. Welcome to Soxtalk, right?
  20. I think Christian Oppor would beg to differ
  21. Bieber coming off one of the wildest starts in baseball history
  22. Colson has been instructed to always get his “A” swing off and your recommendation is the solution… but ONLY during situational spots that have been weighing us down offensively. RISP with less than two outs. We need the entire team to really focus on situational swings from here on out for that scenario. Games in August and September leading into the playoffs really mean a ton for our Sox. If they start to shine in a stat that has been a black eye so far, we’ll be much more likely to squeak out more close games. It also will be good practice for post season play and help them all take the next step up maturity wise. Hope we see Colson moved down to the 5 hole while he works on this because his strikeouts really have been too much of a boon at the cleanup spot. Ok, that’s enough redundant trade deadline wasting time talk from me.
