we somehow think the farm system is stocked. It's not since they brought up a lot of guys but no stud pitcher in that bunch. The Sox are not in the same league where you can be like the Dodgers trading guys in the minors who could play elsewhere.

How does it make any sense that Jerry and Ishbia have competing stadium plans? Shouldn't they be working together?

Yeah unless theres some major trades, his remaining time at 3B seems limited. Too much IF talent that will likely supplant him. Plus, his bat is good enough to play at 1B/DH.

Vargas has -6 OAA per statcast, so his range is pretty terrible according to the metrics. I'm down with moving him off 3B.

Agree that LF would be a good spot for him, but what about Sam? I suppose you could do: Mune DH Vargas 1B Chase SS Colson 3B Sam 2B Bonemer LF But that's a lot of movement.

I think the best move would be for Bonemer to go straight to LF starting this offseason. Just let him get comfortable in 1 spot and don’t move him around. “(Until Roch)” SHOULDN'T be too far in the future and I’d rather not see Bonemer focusing on learning new defensive positions instead of mashing.

How likely is a Mune move to near full time DH by next season? That would help with the logjam to some extent. Move Vargas to 1B and allows Colson to stay at SS (until Roch) while Bonemer plays 3B. You could also have a sort of rotation DH in this scenario between Vargas, Mune, and Colson. With Mune DH 60% of the time, Vargas 30%, and Colson 10%. The flexibility of Meidroth to play SS and 2B, Sam to play 2B and LF allows you to keep the best hitters in the lineup while giving guys regular rest and the "Big 3" semi-rest days as DH. Obviously with 1 more year on Beni's deal you have to cut bait via release or trade.
