  3. Not really sure it's a guarantee that they tender Bart a contract.
  4. Someone posted this pic awhile back and said Meidroth must love to wake and bake. 🤣 Billy the Kid with flower instead of whiskey.
  5. There's at least 2 and maybe 3 more catchers in our minors right now I'd be OK giving a shot over Romo.
  6. Anyone hear any trash cans in the background?
  7. The Red Sox are rocking a BABIP over .500 on this heater. Nobody can be that lucky, not even if you're cheating. Their luck will start to average out.
  8. This is an incredible thread. Sox get swept, so the other team must be cheating. Brazoban throws his sinker low in the zone because that's where sinkers go, guy goes down and gets it... cheating. I'm having a hard time understanding the logic here. Struggling to understand how it's cheating to be looking for a low sinker from a sinker baller who throws 51% sinkers and hitting it.
  9. That sounds like it could go either way. Is it because of his performance or because he is so dreamy? Or both?
  10. The Sox are limited besides Grichuk for a LF that hits LP. Grich usually DH's against LP. I wouldn't count Acuna jr as a LF that hits LP because of the sample size, plus he really is an emergency OF. I would keep running Sam out there and have Chase lead off. If not next season then 2028, I don't know how the Sox keep Bonemer and Roch off the 26 man team. I would start Bonemer playing LF down in Birmingham. Roch most likely will be the SS.
  11. That was the pitch that made it click for me
  12. Can someone tell me where Billy the Kid fits in his family treee?
  13. Quero never dies!
  14. Singling on that nasty sinker from Brazoban was insane. Something stinks here.
  15. Has nothing to do with praising or liking the trade. I totally understand not liking the trade or thinking they should've done something more or different. Be honest in the assessment though. Not mentioning Seranthony Dominguez is disingenuous. They took on Castillo's money but they got rid of Dominguez and his salary within the scope of the deal. It's like $12-13 million for Castillo in 2027 essentially and he'd probably get close to that on the open market still. Keith Law didn't write it. It was someone named Johnny Flores Jr. I couldn't find him or I would've tagged him.
  16. If they are able to keep up this level of play til the end of the season, I might start becoming more suspicious. These guys are literally unbeatable and yes, they do bat as if they know what is coming. And their pitching has been really good.
  17. Chase has far exceeded my expectations. At this rate he is the 2nd baseman of the future no matter who gets called up
  18. They need to swallow their pride and bring up Korey Lee.
  19. They presumably will only keep three catchers on the 40 man through the offseason. Feel like they'll dfa Bart
  20. Can we please go with Haase and quero for the remainder of the year!!!!!!!!
  21. I truly feel they keep sending Quero down because they want him to work on some things but every time he goes down something happens with the big club. At this point leave him with the team for the rest of year and ride it out and then work on things over summer
  22. Today

  23. Altuve will be another interesting HoF case. On the Red Sox or Yankees, he probably gets in. But just barely.
  24. Braden has power, but pounds the ball into the ground. A 59.5% GB rate isn’t going to work and many of us were concerned that they called him up when they did given this was a major issue in the minors as well. Zero excuse for him not being a 20+ HR guy eventually, but there is certainly work to do there. Antonacci looks like a guy who could eventually give you 15 HRs. Obviously you’d love more from LF, but the broader offensive production works. This is also a spot that Bonemer could eventually slot into and that would greatly improve the overall power of our OF. Peters is the tricky one. If he can be close to a league average bat, I don’t really care about the lack of HRs all that much given his defense. And to his credit, he does hit a ton of doubles which helps boost the ISO some. I try not to overreact to slumps & regression and think he’ll he fine eventually, but he’ll certainly need a platoon partner at minimum.
  25. Agreed, but the the crunch will be due to Roch and Bonemer, not Peters.
  26. Not an easy problem to address now less than fifty games out. (Hopefully not even Ron wants to rush Bonemer up to a corner outfield spot before the playoffs begin.) Who would have ever thought Keider Montero and Parker Messick would be the two best AL Central pitchers standing going into the second week of August? Strangest season in a good way (especially with the bar set so very low) since 2000.
