  1. Past hour
  2. It's like the ghost of Rick Hahn made that statement saying everything, and nothing, all at the same time.
  3. Because Trade WInds is a Trade Deadline forum. We don't use it during the winter.
  4. Why is there no trade winds forum this year? Because we don't anticipate enough activity?
  5. It is wild to see the Pirates out there involved in everything. Meanwhile in Chicago it looks like Charlie Brown trick or treating.
  6. Today
  7. https://www.draysbay.com/2025/1/16/24345209/rays-2025-international-prospects-signing-tracker Most interesting note here is that the Rays have/had significant interest in Roki Sasaki and a good relationship with his agent. Went through their full $7.5 million 2025 international signing pool in less than 24 hours. An actual seat at the table...?
  8. #2 prospect/SS/$3.6 million bonus Wandy Asigen Because the Yankees don't have a long term Directir of Intl Scouting hired yet and prospects are being convinced their deals with NY might fall through...so going for sure things. 2026 international signing period preview Big prospects set to sign with the: - Giants - Royals - Athletics - Rays - Orioles - Tigers - Twins And more. International Bonus Board with scouting reports and the team for each player: https://baseballamerica.com/stories/2026-mlb-international-prospects-bonus-board/… Need a BA subscription here.
  9. Ace/RBI programs ... Bulls/Sox academy, etc. How many times was Christine O'Reilly on with Hawk Harrelson touring one of their charitable drives? Or Michael Milken with Farmer/DJ?
  10. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/munetaka-murakami-landing-spots-prediction-npb-roundtable/ Bunch of names mentioned for Murakami...Mariners perhaps the most obvious. One of the pundits hit the Lowe deal right on the head. Marlins Mariners Pirates Reds Red Sox https://www.bucsdugout.com/pirates-rumors/47297/pittsburgh-pirates-looking-to-sign-top-japanese-talent&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjfref9s8qRAxXjnCYFHUoWJTsQFnoECAUQAg&usg=AOvVaw2BeWLY-Hse9Lzfh93ET2m- "Jon Morosi of MLB Network reported that Pittsburgh along with Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, Toronto and Detroit have all showed interest in signing Murakami..." Please don't be Detroit. Kerry Carpenter's already enough of a pain to deal with. Fallback option on losing Bregman again?
  11. Orioles just love taking on pitcher with extremely elevated injury concerns.
  12. True, winning seasons in 90, 91, 92, 93, 94 and 96 with a playoff appearance.
  13. Strange, isn’t it? Although Elias still didn’t really give up his top prospects here either.
  14. The stadium thing is really easy. The owners of the Bears do not have the wealth to build the stadium alone. They need assistance or leverage the team. They could save 30% if not more building in Indiana and probably at least 15% building outside of Cook County. If the state is not going to help offset the cost of building in Illinois and Cook v Indiana they will not be playing in Illinois. Indiana having two great domed stadiums while Illinois has no legitimate stadium in the entire state. Illinois pisses away billions on nonsense. This is a no brainer for Illinois and I do not care if Economists say it is not worth it. A good amount of government expenditures are nonsense. I'm Ron Swanson and I approve of this message
  15. I would think this gives them the biggest bonus pool.
  16. Too bad they weren't willing to do this a couple of years ago, it might have kept their window open.
  17. Collectively the offense needs to be more in sync this time around. I expect DJ Moore to perform like he is paid and for the backups and other weapons to move the ball and execute this Saturday. They have to be in sync from the beginning if they want to beat the Packers. Don’t let the Packers offense get those explosion plays and the defense needs to live up to its identity if they expect to win.
  18. Must have been a substantial deal. I wonder who/why?
