Guardians are a pretty darn good team if they get offensive contributions from people not named Ramirez.

Schriffen: "It's been an amazing three years". Implies that them calling Sox games together is over. Could Stone be on his way out?
I think Wayne Randazzo is the overwhelming favorite.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
If you know anything about transportation and rails, Chicago is a MASSIVE bottleneck in national train traffic because the infrastructure hasn't been updated in like a century in some cases. This is moreso on the freight side than the people side, but those both affect each other for sure. I have no idea if THIS particular facility will make much of a difference or not, but this IS a problem.

Simpson with a huge triple with 2 strikes.- The Official Scoreboard watching thread
Williams was dealing until that triple,- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
If this vision/version of legislation/discussion seals the deal...I wonder how much or what would be different from what was being discussed the past couple of years??- The Official Scoreboard watching thread
Rays striking out just as much as the Sox did against Williams.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
He means new legislation being crafted would totally leave it up to the Bears where they want to build. My guess is that the Bears want AH as they own 326 acres there and that's where they'll go, but it won't be the IL General Assembly voting specifically for the AH site. "The state of Illinois will leave it up to the Chicago Bears to decide whether to build a stadium in the city or suburbs, but the team will have both options under a proposal being discussed ahead of the upcoming veto session of the General Assembly."- Let's look at the bright side - the Sox are going to have an absolute STAR in Caleb Bonemer
Fair enough. But a certain someone's husband mysteriously spent 6-8 years in the political capital of China, aka Beijing. Also HQ for the Chinese version of the CIA just down the street from Tiananmen Square. Who is HIS leader, lol?- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Wow...interesting! But also exhausting...get it done one way or the other! (personally much prefer it be in IL)- Schriffen: "It's been an amazing three years". Implies that them calling Sox games together is over. Could Stone be on his way out?
You have about three choices here. Pay the person you pick enough to where they have no desire to work other jobs. Share the person with other jobs Pick someone crappy enough they have no other jobs.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
It means the city, this is the first two lines of the article- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I don't have a subscription...does Chicago mean the city? Or is he lumping AH with Chicago?Today

So did Sheets in SD. Burger has basically been about the same. Romy Gonzalez before he got hurt in Boston. Alex Call has gone on to have a solid/workman-like career. McCarthy has had 2 of 3 really good seasons...Mena and Dominic Fletcher haven't been heard from since. Was that Barfield or Getz though? Bigger/long term picture, Marcus Semien and Tatis went on to become MVP candidates with other teams. Otoh Vargas is the closest since Quentin in 2008 to doing the same (MVP candidate) from outside the organization. Turned out not to be sustainable due to injuries and just being too hard on himself...didn't have e the same psychological coping mechanisms as Konerko.- What's next?...
Interesting, it seems like AJ is alluding to it being a phantom IL stint. If he was actually hurt and can put up more starts like the Cincy game it might not be the end of the world to have him around 1 more year.- What's next?...
His style does work better for basketball and football. Still working on spinning those baseball stories into a broadcast like a Scully, Harwell or Eucker, rather than trying to entertain and be a comedian with his 80s and 80s jokes and array of cultural references.- What's next?...
"One message I thought was really well received on my end: A lot of people that followed the White Sox or tracked the White Sox, they really felt there was a team within our clubhouse; how they went about their business, how they played for each other. It was really giving us credit for helping the game, helping the game of baseball and the industry," he said. How do you sustain or replicate that from one year to the next?- The Official Scoreboard watching thread
