  1. Past hour

  2. I mean it seems obvious to me. If he was a Dbag, he wouldn't be around.
  3. Quin replied to BamaDoc's topic in FutureSox Board
So we're sending Roch to the Dash now, right?
  4. RIP Glen Hansard. Incredible performer.
  5. Next you'll tell me guys will drink beers before pitching in playoff games. Slackers.
  6. The guys on the team and the organization clearly love Vasil and want him around and we got people whining about him being in the dugout and a wand. Just hilarious.
  7. It was a joke. I'd be happy with Detmers, though I do have more concerns about him than some do here and I would hesitate to meet the Angels supposed current asking price.
  8. Sounds like what happened with Crochet
  9. Predictable thing is predictable.
  10. What I’m really worried about is the same thing we just saw happen with Schultz plays out in front of us: nobody has the patience for these kids figuring it out because all of our expectations have changed and been updated. Then you get to the point where we have a very real amount of fans who are completely done with Schultz, because he isn’t “there” yet. What happens with Hagen if he comes out and can’t hit the broadside of a barn because he knows that he was just inserted into the bullpen of a team in the playoff hunt?
  11. Of course the concern is real but it’s also real that his performance has improved since the move to the pen… which has been limited but certainly more than those three hitters. Just provided it as an example to view how he looks out of the pen. Much more aggressive. Seems like he’s also throwing harder too.
  12. He gave up two solo shots that game. “Detmers struck out nine over five solid innings in a no-decision in a 3-2 loss to the Astros on Tuesday night at Angel Stadium. He’s been on an impressive run, as he’s posted a 1.65 ERA with 22 strikeouts and three walks in 16 1/3 innings over his last three outings to open the second half.” Any contenting team should want that.
  13. Have to say, typing out “schlittler” makes you question “is this word spelled right?” For a while
  14. I’m not confident that these three up three down mean it’s all better now. This has been a problem for Hagen since college. I want him to succeeed but this just seems to be putting a tremendous amount of confidence in something we have never seen him maintain
  15. Shades of when we drafted him…
  16. Today

  17. As a Sox fan who has seen a lot of these "turned the corner" guys turn out to just be flukes in a career year, I am not ready to proclaim them fixed.
  18. Hagen and McDougal are supposed to be in the bullpen later this year. Adams seems to be the best plug-n-play option for a team selling off for "near MLB ready" talent.
  19. TIME TO SHINE BOYS! I DONT WANT ONE WIN TODAY, I WANT THEM TO TAKE THE NEXT TWO AND THEN KEEP ROLLING IN TAMPA BAY. GO TIME!!!!
  20. This would be the best outcome but given how much competition there is for starting pitchers, I’ll be shocked if we get both without a massive overpay.
  21. Bingo. Most likely outcome 100%.
  22. Or they’ll just hold onto him for the offseason, for next years deadline, or to evaluate again after the 27 season as a whole. They have no motivation… zero… to “concede” anything.
  23. At least the foodie fuckers had imagination and creativity. 😆
  24. Operation douche bag, cooked.
  25. I think the mechanic considerations they are working with when running him out there as a starter are different when he is not attempting to extend to a starters workload. In his relief appearances he has looked like a completely different kid. Limited walks, higher strikeout rates, and I don’t think he’s even given up a run.
