  1. Past hour
  2. I have a real hard time seeing him somehow stick in the rotation. I can see them hiding him in the pen. You don't see many arms go from A-ball to the MLB and have immediate success.
  3. I don’t care how the White Sox feel. I hope they feel bad. I will cheer for wins and excellence. Faith is earned.
  4. Not sure if dei Spiderman avatar is the beacon of reliable history but thank Jerry for histrionics
  5. Yeah you would think the White Sox would just get one and the second from Red Sox and one from White Sox would cancel out haha i can’t think of another deal off the top of my head where there PTBNL is going both ways
  6. Ha if there was a Soxtalk in 1919 how long do you think we'd keep hearing jokes about White Sox players gambling till it died out ? We still hear jokes about the White Flag trade . Has the franchise history been lousy . Yep but wouldnt you dislike it if you personally did the same job and the majority expected you to fail. Rome wasn't built in a day. Do unto others etc etc.
  7. Yeah and I just don’t think he’ll have a long leash. He’s better as a reliever and where I want him personally.
  8. They will try it early but they have Thorpe, Adams and Busch coming back back this year.
  9. When he was recently drafted with the Padres. When he went to the Nationals in a 3-way deal. Edit: it was because you had to wait a certain amount of time to trade draft picks. So he was a PTBNL in a deal even though everyone knew he was going to move when he could.
  10. Some interesting victory laps this offseason. Sandlin stinks. Him as a guy in the rotation this year is more of an indication of the state of white sox pitching than his skills. Maybe they can get Hicks right out of the bullpen.
  11. I didn't know about Trea Turner on that PTBNL issue. Which trade was that? WA to LA?
  12. Wonder if the Pirates come to talk to us since they keep striking out in FA. And we have a few 3B options to mention to them.. Mead. Sosa if he counts as 3b
  13. It appears they prefer to spend money on the bullpen, and not spend money on rotation slots they have to guarantee while there is so much youthful starter fluidity in the pipeline. Better to keep slots open for someone young and building for a future on the SS.
  14. Iirc teams often have the right to take cash in lieu and a lot of the time do so.
  15. I feel like last year was the perfect time to test Teel out in the OF, dunno why they didn't do it
  16. Yeah that Turner one was a loophole since he couldn’t technically be traded when he was.
  17. I found what I was referring to on Spotrac. He's got up to $2M in incentives based on Starts and innings pitched. $100K for starts 8, 10, 12 ,14, 16, 18, 20, 22 ,24,26. = potentially $1M $100K for innings pitched markers starting at 60 ,then 70,80,90, 100 up to 150 by tens. = potentially $1M
  18. If Sandlin's medicals are in question, perhaps the PTBNL is dependent on his ability to stay healthy? I'm not sure if that is something that can be agreed to, but it could provide some context. Maybe the Sox have 2 options based on the outcome for Sandlin this season.
  19. It's a baseball team. You have no effect on the team, and the team has no effect on you. Being "skeptical" isn't smarter than anything else.
  20. I know he's older, but I'm surprised Suarez has as little of a market as he did.
