I didn't get that at all. The guy was less than a year from major surgery. There were times he was dominant for a while. He was hitting a wall at about 60 pitches. I don't expect him to win the Cy Young, but it wouldn't surprise me if he winds up the Sox #1 or #2 starter next year. It won't be enough to pick up his option, but it may be enough to unload him at the deadline if the Sox have no chance.

Peavy is 110% talk.

You couldn't be more wrong. The guy had an injury that no one has ever returned from and pitched again at the MLB level. He worked his a@# off to get back. I don't know if he'll ever be an effective pitcher again but you cannot fault how hard he worked to get back. You can rip on the results but not the effort.

If Peavy wants me to like him, he can start by pitching 7+ quality innings.

Joe has already painted himself in the corner putting Peavy on his all man team and saying the issues Peavy had were with Cooper. The more that comes out, the more uninformed Joseph becomes. He'll tweet the White Sox beat writers know the truth crap. Too bad he doesn't.

 

Oney reporting not a lot of people like Jake and Ozzie doesn't start fights he justs finishes them. Also wonders why people don't just let Ozzie be. Coming from the guy that went after Teahen's wife, its priceless.

 

The Guillens are quite funny. They talk about their father like kids at a playground. They still think Ozzie is the toughest person alive, whereas I'm fairly certain that he's probably weak. He's a little guy.

The inner squabbles seem to have been going on for at least 2-3 years and getting worse each year. At least from the point that Oney had to get fired, that's when the public face of it sure became obvious, and it started really seeming to affect the play of the team at that point.

I think I'm done listening to whatever Peavy and Cooper have to say because whenever I hear them talk now, I come away thinking they're both assholes.

 

It doesn't mean they can't be good at their jobs and I'm not rooting for them, but they both say things in the wrong way, way too often.
