Baseball's a seasonal game. Weather happens. It's not "stupid" of a sport to play a game on a cold day.

There's more guys on base. We would literally need 4 hits in an inning to score a run, most games, last year. More walks, a little more pop in the lineup - they could be a fun team 3-4 days a week.

I believe you can figure it on a sliding scale. The first win should be worth about $7M. Depending on the FA year, subsequent wins can be worth $9M to $13M. And bringing up Quintana, that's why it's being said that age is the new market inefficiency. You can pick up these 35 year old guys who are still perfectly serviceable for low salaries.

And being a little bullish, I can see them at 17-24 after the Marlins' series.

The team doesn't look like death warmed over. That is a great victory, and that is not premature.

Complaining about scheduling games in colder cities is pointless. They have to schedule some games in the northern cities. It's unfair to the Southern and West coast teams to give them a preponderance of games before Memorial Day, then give the Red Sox and Twins more summer games. They could just have all the teams play in their spring training sites until Memorial Day.

Correct on all three milestones. Perez did a great job. People here had all three of Burke, Cannon and Davis back in the minors by June 1, Perez DFAed, Smith buried in the bullpen, and Clevenger starting. I'm going to take the under on all of that.
