  1. I'm watching about 4 innings behind. Either should have caught that. They both pulled up, anticipating a collision. But the ball was within a foot of Acuña's mitt. I think somebody said Acuña threw a curve ball from CF. We want the prospects to play and learn in the bigs. This is what that looks like.
  2. Peters' hand touched the glove on the replay.
  3. I like to learn about the game from the announcers. Hawk and Wimpy were great for that. Hawk and Don Drysdale were great, too. Not just the stories, but explaining why something happens. I get none of that from Schriffen. He doesn't even ask thoughtful questions. "Green light on 2 and 0?" is just inane. With all the hate Schriff gets here, I certainly wanted to cut the guy some slack. I hate his cadence and that taunting tone. It's like acting. Don't "act". Let yourself feel the anger in a scene and be angry. I feel like Schriffen's trying to act excited instead of letting himself feel excited.
  4. Yeah, coming into Miami with an 0-3 record, I would have liked him to have more of a reserved/subdued tone for some of these calls, kind of like, "Okay, now we're seeing what they're supposed to look like", instead of "OH NO, YOU DON'T RUN ON EDGAR QUERO!!" They just had their asses handed to them, nobody's quite ready for that taunting tone.
  5. There's a whole crew who take a victory lap like they won the World Series with every loss, so I guess it balances out.
  6. Get used to this:
  7. He's already had it. You just don't realize it
  8. It's a big step to realize he was fighting Getz's winning teachings.
  9. You can read his lips: "Just do what Chris Getz personally taught me"...
  10. Michael Kopech has yet to hit a grand slam.
  11. White Sox breaking records
  12. Not in the standings. A win is a win.
  13. You're just reinforcing the argument I made earlier - when the Sox win, the opponents are scrubs. When they lose, they lost against scrubs, too. Scratch your chin....
  14. The Sox pulled their big boy pants up, and they're ready to do business. They ran into the best team in the NL last year, coming out of spring training with a chip on their shoulder. This is what they look like against the league during the season.
  15. Which of the following was bad? Newcomb, Murakami, Kay, Hays? Fedde goes tomorrow, and I think Shane Smith's going to be pissed in game 3. Extend Getz is you want to watch a parade!!!
  16. To those who have been giving me s%*# over this word over the last few days... this is ...special. LOL. Can you post a link to this stat?
  17. Sox won. Why are you so sad? You're seeing a bunch of players break out. Davis Martin threw his balls over his shoulder and got through that fifth inning. Weird that you're threading needles about why everything sucks. Be happy. Get on the band wagon.
  18. Are they in a round robin with the Guards? Who cares? Sure, they should give Benintendi a 3/$110M extension so they can fill the stadium with fans who root for payroll. LOL.
  19. The Marlins were 3-0. They ran into a buzzsaw, now they're not.
  20. Weird how you never brought this up when Caulfield was s%*#-talking Colson every step of the way.
  21. That's a weird way to say the Sox are winning games more efficiently.
  22. I think it's great to keep the versatility with everyone. Keep Acuña fresh. It would be nice having 3 competent shortstops on the team between Monty, Acuña and Meidroth. Getz and Venable are teaching the league how the game is going to be played, going forward.
  23. Cody Ponce hurt. Looks like we won't see him this week.
