Eloy officially got paid
Hoping Eloy has the skill and eyesight to lay off the low sliders. No need to be anxious and he has to take his walks. I am going to assume for now he can do this and not blame Kenny. We also need Palka to back him up.

2019 Predictions
ESPN has the Sox at 24. Not surprising the AL teams are bunched at the top and bottom of the power rankings. I have no optimism but expecting improvement. I will go with Palka hitting 30 homers and 90 rbi. Giolito to the bullpen. TA becoming a near-impact guy. Team spirit and bunting.

FS: White Sox Interested in signing Cuban SS Yolbert Sanchez
We have seen teams that have no option but rebuild take several years to acknowledge that situation. One is the team we follow. KC is in a similar situation post champion.

Jay injury update
I was looking at the whole picture but yes they are a negative defensively. This OF is actually better than what I was expecting. If you are not getting offense from your OF you will not win. Plus we can bring in defensive replacements in the third inning if needed.

Jay injury update
Eloy Leury and Palka not a bad OF for now. Palka worked on his agility during the off season. Who knows.

Thoughts on the Sox shifting Moncada to 3b?
Many players have gone on to successful careers after changing positions. Ask Kenny.

Thursday 67F in KC suggests they might want to wait out the rain. Friday showing thunderbolts high 58F.

Maybe the Sox are due for one of those one-off years. Just for future practice.

You are basically here trolling. No one thinks Jimenez is a waste of money.

Friday is the backup opener.

Ian Happ
Speaking of which Heyward had a 5-6 war his previous two years then the Cubs worked on his launch angle and now he gets 1-2 war.

Palk Smash!
Palka has been working on his OF agility. I know he butchered one the other day. I think they want to play him.

It's sophisticated to dis guys with power production. We need runs to have a chance of competing. Our SP's are among the least accomplished around.

Roster Cuts Thread
Per Bruce Cubs are looking for a cf. Would they consider Jay.

Roster Cuts Thread
I imagine Jay could be had for a song and a discount right now. They could open with 12 pitchers but then someone, maybe Engel could later be at risk. It would be too embarrassing to just release Jay. Once you have 13 arms and two catchers that leaves ten guys to play the field and DH. Abreu Alonso Yoan Yolmer TA Eloy Jay Palka leaves room for two. Rondon Engel Leury compete for two spots. Jay seems to be in the way of Engel having a spot. Either move Jay or demote Engel.

Verlander getting an extension..
I would point to the GM role in managing resources. If Machado had to be signed at 300 it was Rick's job to get that authority. It may be that Rick did not want to put his neck on the line for Machado. I think ownership would have approved 300 provided it was accounted for elsewhere in the budget.
