  1. I'm really nervous right now. I'm worried about Kopech and Dunning.
  2. Whether its 2020, 2021 or 2022, with Clevinger the odds are good that at some point in their window SD would win a WS.
  3. No matter how the package is arranged it will be pretty damn good if its coming from SD considering the years of control involved.
  4. So we are "totally fine" with rearming CLE to the teeth with SDs best prospects (Gore) all the while likely serving up a WS title to Preller and he who shall not be named?
  5. Hopefully they lose Gore. I'm not sure why Preller wants to cash in his chips now. They are going to the playoffs regardless and could go far even without adding anything. I highly doubt ownership is going to can him now. I dont see why he feels he needs to make a huge trade.
  6. Robert is a 6 WAR CF making an AAV of 11m for the next 7 years. There's literally no one id trade him for, not even Trout (due to the ages and contracts of both).
  7. I'm really afraid they are just trying to showcase him today.
  8. This. We finally have a young pitcher with great pitchability and a high floor and is controlled for 6.5 years. But people are so impatient they will throw it away for the flavor of the month. Cease doesn't presently have the command to be our 3, but maybe Dunning can be.
  9. I hope they aren't trying to showcase Dunning. Please just keep him.
  10. That would be horrible. No way should we give up both pitchers for one year and one month of Lance Lynn.
  11. Dunning can lay his claim to the No. 3 job tomorrow with another good outing. Cease is a 4 until the command improves. ReyLo is a almost a lost cause.
  12. They are almost certainly going to the playoffs given their division, but yes i doubt they can get to the WS with vastly superior teams out there in the NL like LAD, SD, ATL.
  13. I expect them to sign Joc for next season. Until then, they will have to make due with what they have.
  14. Depends on the compensation. I would not give up any of Vaughn, Kopech, Dunning or Madrigal. Stiever is OK as the main piece but the additions cannot be Dahlquist, Thompson, Crochet or Kelley (I dont think the latter two can be traded right now anyway). We need those guys the next few years to fill in for injuries and/or development issues with others.
  15. Agreed. In this environment with owners planning to rein in spending (whether it be due to true "losses" or simply using covid as a pretext to cut payroll), cost controlled high end young talent is gold. Hahn should be very hesitant to destroy what he has spent a lot of time meticulously building.
  16. He'd be perfect if he was left handed, but he's still pretty darn good.
  17. Do we need multiple soft tossing lefties? Better NOT be for Dunning.
  18. Hahn would be no better than KW if he moved Dunning. Ugh
  19. No Vaughn, Kopech, Dunning, Cease or Madrigal. I'm ok with Stiever as a headliner but only for a decent cost controlled SP.
  20. Not necessarily. While the main reason he was let go was because he sucked, there was also an option that would have vested if he got a certain number of innings IIRC so there was also a financial (savjngs) component to the decision as well.
  21. Yeah, there's no such thing as a "sunk cost" here, especially insofar as JR is concerned.
  22. Yes he would be a good fit. And I think under contract for 2 more years I think someone stated.
