  1. If it looks unlikely on the Springer front, they should just get the Joc deal done now because his cost will only go up once he becomes the best remaining option left on the market after Springer formally signs.
  2. Murkowski is a candidate to flip since she would have a tough time winning her primary in 2022. On the other hand she has won before as an independent after losing the primary and the ranked choice voting that passed in Alaska might help her too.
  3. Joc >>>>> JBJ.
  4. Good for him. A nice 4 year deal will take care of him. Appreciate what he did here and I'm happy for him.
  5. I'd be perfectly happy with him. I'd prefer him at 1/10-12 or 2/20-22 than Springer at like 4/94 so long as the extra money would be used on pitching.
  6. Agreed. Get him signed on a 1-2 year deal if possible and get Bauer.
  7. Schwarber would be great addition....adds huge LH power and can switch off at LF/DH with Eloy. Only issue is Vaughn.
  8. I agree. Get Joc for 1-2 years. Pair him up with Engel or Leury and the put most of your chips into the middle of the table for pitching.
  9. So Pederson and Quintana plus trading for a cost controlled other starter.
  10. If he's going to milk the pandemic excuse as a pretext to go cheap for another offseason id rather go with Joc ona 1 yr deal and use up whatever money we do have to use on a SP instead. But I thought I saw somewhere that TLR said if he was going to manage he wanted JR to promise he would spend what it takes to win?
  11. Prolly 1 yr deal because he wants to reestablish his value and it gives Chicago a chance to see if Rutherford can become something.
  12. Id like to see what Katz can do with Cease.
  13. MOAR Right Handed Hitters! LH slugger is too much to ask apparently
  14. Get a left handed masher. No excuses.
  15. Yeah i wouldn't be shocked if RH and KW leaked this. If so....nice job!
  16. And RH has been trying to acquire him for awhile now. Of course, if LaRussa has other ideas for that OF spot and Hahns opinions don't matter anymore even though he put together this whole team then all bets are off.
  17. Pederson would be ideal.
  18. Weekend at Tony's!
  19. Why did he need to be checked or fired? For acquiring Moncada, Robert, Jimenez, Giolito, Kopech, Vaughn, etc. For winning 35 games when most thought we would win 30? I dont get what Hahn did to make JR want to check him. Explain
  20. Dammit. Can you let us know whats going on in the building now? Is Hahn at least still in charge of FA? This is such BS I'm so pissed. He put together a masterful rebuild for the most part. He deserves to run his ship. WTF is their problem
  21. This will be very revealing as to whats going on. If its a TLR crony that's a really bad sign that the Hahn/analytics change is over. If its Zaleski (sp) id feel alot better that Hahn still has control and Jerry didn't totally hijack everything.
  22. A 1 year deal for Joc makes sense for all parties.
  23. MLBExec burner mentioned in a reply comment that he will be fine per sources.
  24. Its very unlikely they will do so, unfortunately.
