He is battling. Hopefully he can grit out two more innings.

Dane should be pitching third in the rotation.

Sox vs Twins 9/2/2020 Lopez vs Berrios 7:10 CST
I doubt it. Stone is the FOs mouthpiece and has successfully telegraphed their thinking on several issues. I have noticed he has been alot more critical of RR recently.

In other words, despite all the available analytic tools, he is still gonna rely on his gut in the end. Bring on Jirschele already.

Clevinger wanted to be White Sox
Yeah McCann is gone. After declining options on EE, Cishek and Gonzalez, they should sign Joc to a short term deal and bat him 5th and move down Grandal to around 7 until he shows his power has returned.

2021 Offseason Prediction: Who We Lose and What Will Be Our Needs?
I'd be stunned if they didn't pick up Leury's 3.5m option.

How long can we realistically keep this line-up together.
Yep those are the prime years for everyone. Hahn did a great job putting together that window with all those favorable contracts too. Hopefully we can win at least one WS during that time.

Final guesses at the Trade Deadline
We need a RF that can actually kill right handed pitching. Im sick of RHH everywhere. Enough already
-
Trade Watch Rumor
That would be ok. Collins, Heuer and Stiever preserves the top core talents. Allows Sox to offer McCann something if he doesn't like offers next year. Gives us 3 pitching studs this year and next year, with Dunning 4 and Cease 5 is a great rotation for the rest of the year. 2 Young guys will have to compete with Kopech for the last 3 spots next spring. Cease particularly will need to show improvement to keep his spot. Low salary for Lynn next year gets the OK from JR since RH likely promised no big FA pitching acquisitions in the offseason in exchange.

Trade Watch Rumor
Hahn has already boxed himself in stating no rentals....at least not for real assets, so Heuer for a rental would bring about pitchforks. Also Gallo's recent splits do not suggest righty killer (despite being LHH) so I wouldnt be thrilled about that if its for a decent asset.

Trade Watch Rumor
Then we would have no backup C next year.
-
Trade Watch Rumor
Let's put it this way...any of Kopech, Vaughn or Dunning would royally piss me off.
-
Trade Watch Rumor
The best use of Kopech is to let him pitch for the Sox the next 7 years.
-
Trade Watch Rumor
That means it has to be Kopech. Dammit

Realistic trade candidates AKA The Lynnsanity Thread
Why wouldn't that be a credible reason a possible trade got blown up? JR has already started b****ing about money weeks ago.
-
Trade Watch Rumor
I'm really nervous right now. I'm worried about Kopech and Dunning.

Padres Acquire Clevinger per Multiple Reports
Whether its 2020, 2021 or 2022, with Clevinger the odds are good that at some point in their window SD would win a WS.
-
Padres Acquire Clevinger per Multiple Reports
No matter how the package is arranged it will be pretty damn good if its coming from SD considering the years of control involved.
-
Padres Acquire Clevinger per Multiple Reports
So we are "totally fine" with rearming CLE to the teeth with SDs best prospects (Gore) all the while likely serving up a WS title to Preller and he who shall not be named?
-
Realistic trade candidates AKA The Lynnsanity Thread
Hopefully they lose Gore. I'm not sure why Preller wants to cash in his chips now. They are going to the playoffs regardless and could go far even without adding anything. I highly doubt ownership is going to can him now. I dont see why he feels he needs to make a huge trade.
