  1. They didn't want to guarantee the 2nd year. Also, they hate savages. It's like they get a sick kind of enjoyment out of struggling against even halfway decent RHP.
  2. Dude should be promoted to AA soon. I doubt they will invest in a big time 2B with Ramos and Yogurt rising fast.
  3. Colas adds a double! Finishes 2/5 on the day. OPS .860
  4. Damn this guy is an OBP monster.
  5. Moncada is a 4 WAR 3B who is most effective from the left side. There's no reason to move him now. If Montgomery and/or Kath continue to look like stone cold killer savages when they get to the higher levels we can start to think about it, esp if Moncada is not performing but it's way too early to think about this. I know the flavor of the month is naturally popular but there is a huge downgrade from Moncada to Burger. We would get even worse vs RHP and Burger is likely a butcher defensively. Even without his power, Yoan is an OBP machine. Jake is useful as a backup since Moncada always has lingering hammy issues and if u can sell Burger high that's fine but I wouldn't replace one with the other unless the haul for Moncada is absolutely obscene AND a young LH savage is absolutely ready to come in and be a 3 WAR+ player.
  6. Let Graveman pitch the 8th. Get some insurance runs now
  7. So they can't do shit against quality RHP? It's almost as if they need a savage or something. Who knew?
  8. He's gotten a bit unlucky in that a few doubles should have been HRs but in any event, I expect his OPS (currently 749) to get into the 800s or higher fairly soon. He prolly will stay in High A for at least a few weeks because they don't like giving someone three levels in one year and they also need an excuse to keep him in AAA a bit next year for service time. I would say he'd be in High A through the end of May and if he's killing it, he could be sent to Birmingham in June. That will be a big jump.
  9. I would kindly remind Billy Beane that he should avail himself of the benefits of putting his dick in a running blender if he asked for Oscar Colas. LH savages should not be moved. Period.
  10. Not much they can do when half the team is hurt. I'm shocked they won the first two against Seattle.
  11. Id rather give up Sheets as the main piece as opposed to Montgomery.
  12. Agreed. He has to be totally off the books after this year rain or shine. JR isnt going to pay a penny of tax and with rising arbitration salaries, we need to free up more money.
  13. This savage should be a 25-30 HR guy with a plus arm and glove. Basically a perfect RFer for us. He's gotten a bit unlucky so far. I seem to remember another double he had a few games before that someone said was almost a homer, too.
  14. At this rate, dude will be in High A by the end of the month. Wasn't his ETA originally like 2025? Seems like it could be alot sooner....like maybe mid 2023. Could even put him at 2B for awhile to start while 3B and SS are filled.
  15. This. Really, they should dedicate a whole episode of Ripley's Believe it or not on the White Sox refusal to accept left handed savagery. It will be like the episode about the little kid who lived in a particularly scorching part of Arizona but never liked ice cream.
  16. 953 OPS and otherworldly ability to get on base. This cannot be tolerated.. Obviously, we have to trade him.
