The trade value for Hendriks and Mauricio is almost identical BTW. I think we will want a premium, so maybe that's why we are asking for Mauricio + if you believe the rumor. If they threw in Guillorme that would be great for immediate help in 2023.

Mauricio has good power from left side too. If the Sox could snag him it would be great. They'd have two savage replacements lined up for Moncada and Anderson in Montgomery and Mauricio. If Hendriks market is hot, it's not an unreasonable ask.

I find it hard to believe they have this robust market for LH and yet they would be forced to accept an inferior offer just so long as it included salary relief. How bout trade LH for legit return and move Kelly for salary relief. Yes, it's doubly bad for the BP but at least we aren't giving away a stud closer for free. FML

McNeil and McCann for LH makes sense. NYM need to throw in a little bit of cash for JM 2024 salary.

It's true he has no power but unlike NM he has very good defense and gets OBP a ton vs RHP. He had 118 WRC+ vs RHP last year even without power. He could be the LH platoon 2B vs RHP and against LHP we could play Romy/Sosa. He's worth about 5m in surplus value so we can probably get him for ReyLo and just keep LH if no one is making a blowout offer.

Colas is the savage middle of the order LH bat. It might take a few months to adjust but he should be the 4 or 5 hitter relatively soon. I dont think anyone they get in a trade at 2B is gonna be a 3,4,5 hitter. Neither McNeil nor Guillorme fits that profile.

If 10D can hit about 17 HRs (very possible at GRF) with OBP of .350+ and above avg D that will be enough for me.

Id rather have Guillorme for ReyLo straight up if NYM would go for that than signing Segura. The value is about equal.
