The 2nd base answer is in Miami
It would have to be a 3 team trade sending TA to a prospect rich team, prospects from there to MIA, Jazz to CHW and we'd have to throw in something extra to balance it out since there's 4 cost controlled years of Jazz and only 2 for TA. Something like.... To LAD: TA To MIA: LAD prospects plus someone like Vera and either Sosa or Rodriguez To CHW: Jazz

Sox Sign Hanser Alberto
Yep that's the first thing I thought of also. Maybe intl cash plus some middling prospect to get rid of the salary.

Carlos Correa is a Twin - 6 yrs $200M
They did get his prime seasons, however it's unlikely they will get much if any surplus value since it's like 33.3m AAV, so just to break even he would have to average about 5.6m WAR every single year rain or shine just to break even and that assumes arthritis or something else doesn't wipe out any of those seasons.

I dont trust the Rays anyway when they want to move someone.

Ugh...forget it then. A young LH savage who can play SS is worth his weight in gold. He cannot be moved. Neither can Colas.

Savage LH 2Bs are uncommon its true...Chisholm, Lowe, but maybe a close to MLB ready prospect like Busch or Mauricio if scouts are ok with their glove.

Does this mean the trade market is finally going? If so, go get a LH savage 2B, RH. Do something already

Jesse Rogers: Sox Sign Benintendi - 5yr / $75M
Agreed. They did well on this one there's no question.

No to Escobar. He was below avg vs RHP.

Sox with "plenty of money" left in Jan 15 international pool
Sounds like they are gonna fo another trade with Texas for salary relief and/or a marginal roster player at a position of need.

Get ready to be mad. IMO, they need to shed a bullpen salary if they want to add Duvall/Kemp.

2nd Base I guess it’s going to be Sosa or Gonzalez?
Good FIP tho. He has some legit value in this market. Not a ton, but something.

2nd Base I guess it’s going to be Sosa or Gonzalez?
Get a damn trade done with a RP like Joe Kelly for a platoon LH 2B with good D and WRC+ north of 100 vs RHP like Guillorme already. Every day I keep checking and they haven't done jack s%*#. Get something done already. Get something fucking done already.

2nd Base I guess it’s going to be Sosa or Gonzalez?
But I thought RH said he was going to make a bunch of trades. If thats the case, we should be at least getting a platoon LH 2B to pair with the kids.

Liam Hendriks coming up in trade discussions
Guillorme doesn't suck at all. Very good D and high obp vs RHP. But not for Hendriks straight up. Definitely for Kelly.

Adding yet ANOTHER RHH does nothing to rebuild trust.

Rumor: TLR will (NOT*) be present for ST *update
Yeah I don't buy that either. There would be an open revolt if he returned. They gave him a way to save face. That is all.

Rumor: TLR will (NOT*) be present for ST *update
They have to make it appear he wasn't fired because he's JRs boy. So he had a retirement from active managing for health reasons. And he's still a welcome presence at camp. And a "trusted advisor" And on the payroll. This is just for the old man and a dog and pony show. No need to get upset about it. McNamara was given the World Bank presidency so he wouldn't lose face. Maybe TLR just likes to be around baseball watching ST. It's a small price to pay to ensure he's no longer messing stuff up.

I'd rather have a long term controllable pieces. I hope the Correa thing with NYM falls apart so Cohen will need to make another splash PR wise to save face. We could nab Mauricio as the headline piece who could end up at SS/2B/3B and has a great arm plus very good power esp from the left side. Between him and Montgomery, we'd be in a strong position to eventually deal Moncada and Anderson to keep replenishing talent with young cost controlled savages waiting to replace them. We can probably also add a good secondary piece in a useful MLB player like Guillorme who can help right now or maybe a young pitching prospect since we will need more arms soon.

So . . . . is the window still open?
They still need to make a couple moves just to win the division, IMO. Cleveland is a much better run organization and for as cheap as we are, they can actually make do on an even tighter budget just fine. We just waste money on clowns and crap. They need to get maximum value ASAP from one of Hendriks, Giolito or Anderson to kind of reload the cupboard. Chicago isn't a bad team, but I wouldn't exactly automatically pencil them in to win the division, without doing more, even if they end up much healthier than last year.

Might as well throw 10 million into a fireplace.

Liam Hendriks coming up in trade discussions
Why not? Did they suddenly lose all those catchers?

The trade value for Hendriks and Mauricio is almost identical BTW. I think we will want a premium, so maybe that's why we are asking for Mauricio + if you believe the rumor. If they threw in Guillorme that would be great for immediate help in 2023.
