I'm also relatively sure Gavin has an option remaining, so its not like you are exposing him to other teams, send him down and he can get consistent at bats at his position as well. I imagine he'll be a change of scenery guy after the season.

There hasnt been a justification for him in the last two years except for the front office sees a left handed bat and a guy who looks like he could hit HR's but has never had more then 16 at any level of professional baseball. He did hit 21 at Wake with a metal bat though.

Most definitely, and his contract isn't too bad if you think you can get a 2 + fWAR player out of him outside of Chicago and healthy.

Moving Burger is striking when the iron is hot.

Moving Sheets is just salvaging a roster spot with a useful player who can field and hit say .700 OPS vs. all pitchers.
