Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
If we have 15-30 to work with...they can add Conforto on a 1 yr prove it deal for LF (Nimmo will be too expensive) like 1/10 and you can definitely add a 5th starter for 8-10. Problem is there is still a huge hole at 2B and no way to really address it unless you are gonna move Eloy for Chisholm and then have Grandal DH since he can't catch anymore.

Long is prolly the best we can hope for since I don't see JR signing off Espada or Quatraro.

No Soxfest in 2023
Wow....im shocked you got any kind of decent halfway substantive response from them. I'm sure there's alot of good people who truly want things to be different and want to do good, including RH, but between "budget constraints", archaic infrastructure, and ownership meddling they are kind of caught in between. I thought I read somewhere that Boras said Hahn wants to modernize the organization and really bring it to the present so im sure he is frustrated too not just marketing people. Instead, he's stuck being forced to trot out there and try and put a lawyerly and thoughtful sounding gloss on bullshit decisions. He doesn't have any real juice, he's just a glorified white house press secretary pretty much. I know people say if that's the fact you should just quit but realistically how many of us would give up a million bucks a year or whatever he makes cushy gig where you have great job security and no accountability and all you have to do is take arrows in front of the media and spin other people's decisions. Very few of us would let that job go, even if we were only the GM in title only. Nothing is going to change until JR is gone. We have to just accept that making the playoffs is basically the ceiling and they can even f*** that up too even when it's seemingly a layup. There are no championships or parades or any of that nonsense. The window is just about playoff berths that's all...nothing more and nothing less. If they are lucky enough to win a series here and there with this group it's gravy but there's no real title window. At least you got away from batshit crazy neighbors so take whatever wins you can get even when they aren't on the baseball field. I imagine Chicago weather is much worse than Nashville though. I only went to Chicago once and the weather was awful. Ofcourse to me, 65 degrees is cold so what do I know.

2022 Playoffs Divisional Round
I'm sure it won't sting at all to watch Preller win the WS.

At least he's a good teacher.

JR doesn't have any sense though, that's the problem.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Dammit.....so we can't even buy him out even if we wanted to?

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
IMO....for LF they are more likely to go with 1 yr low risk Conforto prove it deal rather than paying Nimmo long term. Colas in RF obviously. If buy Pollak out at 5m rather than pay him 13 or whatever to be the 4th OF, that's a poor use of money but since this team has obtained a very advanced Ph.D in the poor use of money, I can see them just sticking with him. Now that Eloy is mashing as a DH, there should be no issues with the whole "I have to play LF in order to hit well" BS. He's the DH...period. I agree that even though he hit well this year it's time to let Jose go and slide Vaughn into 1B full time, unless there's a trade for Chisholm. I think the rotation is mostly fine. There's too much bad money tied up in the pen but there's not much we can do on that. Keep Moncada. Yes he had a terrible year, but once TLR left he seemed to improve somewhat and even the relatively powerless YM from last year was still a 4 WAR player with high OBP. He's a savage I'm not gonna throw him away for one bad year. Plus we should sell low and we need some more time for Montgomery anyway. At worst, he's a bridge until Montgomery is ready. At best, he is back to being a very good player and 4 WAR guy. There's no good answer at catcher. If these guys aren't being made miserable by a douchebag dinosaur and dont have another plague of injuries they still should be a 90+ win team.

Cleveland....feel free to start losing games at any time.

Luis Robert to the IL
Any chance we could put a picture of TLR, RH, KW and JR in the banner and put "The soreness will escalate" in there too?

9/13 Games
Isn't this savage like 4 years young for AA or some crazy number like that by age (according to baseball reference)...he had a grand slam a couple days ago and now another homer.

Eloy
So much for "he only hits well when he plays in the OF"

9/10 Sox @ Athletics 3:07 CT
MOAR winning please K thx

TLR out for the year
Good. I want it to be miserable there. This stupid organization can't even avoid stepping on their own dicks in whatever short window we have and they totally wasted two prime years by giving this geriatric clown all the power. I'm glad they are suffering.

Sox: Lack of HR is Humidor's fault
Why would we add legit left handed savagery when we hate winning? We are an organization that loves excuse making, squandering resources on crap rather than making a concerted effort to substantially address major needs, living in the past, using media assets to deflect from real issues, and are perfectly happy to put our head in the sand when it comes to facing long standing problems. All of these things are anathema to savagery and are thus not conducive to winning. If you don't want to add a savage you don't want to win. It's that simple.

Unprecedented inaction?
This is 100% spot on.

"Project Birmingham": Montgomery, 12 other A-Ball players promoted to AA
Maybe they are thinking he could be in Chicago midyear if Moncada isn't producing at 3B. He's at 123 wRC+ so he's holding his own in High A. It will be a steep adjustment this quick but that's OK it's just getting a few weeks of work and then AFL.

8/16 Games
At this rate #9 overall is going to be too low for Colas the left handed savage.
-
8/14 Games
His power tool is definitely higher than 60. 9 HRs in 22 games in AA is an insane amount of savagery.

8/13 Games
And that bomb was against a lefties too. Is Corey Seager actually this young savage's floor? ?

Baseball America: Colson Montgomery #38 on Top 100 Update
45 fielding is still a significant improvement over having 1Bs in the outfield and a plus arm is very valuable in RF. If dude is handling CF in the minors I think he should be at least a 50 in RF. IMO, power is more like 65 than 60. And they're underrating the hit at 50. Dude is wiping his dick across the faces of AA pitching and is now walking more and seems to be chasing less. But they think he's like a 255 hitter in MLB? Thats a littlr light. This guy should be a 275/340/520 guy. Hit is 55. If this dude keeps hitting a bomb like every other day he should be a top 50 prospect savage by the end of the year.
