Yep. Scapegoating Leury doesn't meaningfully change a ton. The main issues that people have bitched about all offseason haven't been addressed and surprise surprise they are biting us. A lack of true LH savagery. A lack of meaningful SP addition. Penny pinching at 2B. Garbage depth. A dinosaur managing who has no meaningful connection to these players compounding the problem by openly giving the finger to modern baseball analytics and concepts and instead managing like it's 1990. Poor allocation of resources with overinvestment in the BP which is high risk given the great degree of variance year to year and surprise....guys that were good now suck.

TLR isn't going anywhere. JR saving face > preserving any semblance of the "window" Sucks but true If this team even gets to a single ALCS in the next few years it will be a minor miracle given all the dysfunction and issues that refuse to get addressed. So much for "multiple championships"

Moncada is a 4 WAR 3B who is most effective from the left side. There's no reason to move him now. If Montgomery and/or Kath continue to look like stone cold killer savages when they get to the higher levels we can start to think about it, esp if Moncada is not performing but it's way too early to think about this. I know the flavor of the month is naturally popular but there is a huge downgrade from Moncada to Burger. We would get even worse vs RHP and Burger is likely a butcher defensively. Even without his power, Yoan is an OBP machine. Jake is useful as a backup since Moncada always has lingering hammy issues and if u can sell Burger high that's fine but I wouldn't replace one with the other unless the haul for Moncada is absolutely obscene AND a young LH savage is absolutely ready to come in and be a 3 WAR+ player.
