  1. Sox are just the 2nd team over .500 they've played since the All-Star break as well.
  2. I’ve watched a ton of him the last two years. He has great stuff and was not nearly as wild last year and even to start this year. He hasn’t thrown in 11 days and has been up and down how many times the last few days and not used. It was a bad outing in his debut.
  3. He also hasn’t pitched in 11 days.
  4. Thank god. McDougal.
  5. They refuse to throw McDougal. It’s infuriating.
  6. In my opinion it’s one of the best calls of all time. Simple and to the point and everything is said by the tone in which it’s delivered. Broadcasting in its best.
  7. Gas and He Gone became part of cultural baseball language at one point. I still say them myself.
  8. It looked like to me he said I want you to ask for a check swing and if he says no I want to challenge the pitch.
  9. He’s through 5. Likely his last inning because I’m guessing his pitch count is 80 and he prob ended the inning around that.
  10. No. He's still rocking a 30% strike out rate in AA. He's only had 155 at bats in AA. People cant stand Colson's K rate right now and the idea here is that Bonemer is ready to contribute at the major league level. Oh and there's still a question of where he will play defensively.
  11. There was like 3 that werent even close to being strikes called.
  12. It's nice to finally feel like the Sox are facing an average pitcher. Feel like they faced a lot of good pitching the last 3-4 weeks.
  13. These are like 8 pitch innings. Game may be over by 8:15.
  14. I thought you could see him starting to turn a corner before Teel came back. He was starting to square up more balls even if the results weren't there.
  15. They almost all do it. I was at the game Friday and noticed the Schultz never warmed up on a mound before first pitch either. Seems like a poor decision especially when a number of these guys struggle in the first inning to throw strikes.
  16. Both of them look like they have different arm angles then they did before.
  17. You win. Trade the power hitting short stop after 1 full season because he will never improve.
  18. Colson also got on base at a .400 clip on AA. Their minor league numbers are similar in many ways.
  19. Would you want PCA on your team? Because from June through the end of last season he hit .231 with a .270 OBP. And it was during his 2nd full season in the majors. Guys slump and guys improve. Not everyone is a finished product 750 at bats into their career.
  20. Raleigh also tried playing through an oblique strain that was nasty for like a month plus.
  21. If that were true, 25 homeruns wouldn't be tied for top 10 in baseball right now.
  22. PCA couldnt make contact with a tennis racket the last half of last year and for a decent part of the beginning of this year. It's crazy to make statements about a guy a year into his big league career as if there's no room for improvement.
  23. I do wonder if they will try and sneak him on to like the 7 day whenever they deem Thorpe is ready to go for a spot start.
  24. I can't tell if this is a schtick or not. I cant believe that 160 career games is enough to want to get rid of a power hitting short stop or if you truly want to trade him.
