  1. Pretty surprising that Colas AB was the hardest hit ball of the game.
  2. Not to excuse the absolute raw dogging by the Rays, but man is it tough to face them twice in the same week with basically the same pitchers going.
  3. So he can walk the first batter he faces as usual?
  4. Its been nothing but a snowball. First is was the bullpen, then it was the starting pitching, now its both the starters and hitting. Everyone is pressing.
  5. Its been an odd zone. He's giving nothing on the margins and has missed several strike calls both ways.
  6. The only thing he brings to the table is athleticism. None of which translates to being a good baseball player.
  7. Well Moncada and Anderson will be back. You cant replace all of them but its hard to have Andrus, Sosa, Burger/Sheets, and Colas all in the lineup at the same time. Having one or two is something you can live with but not all of them.
  8. One quick fix is not having 4 AAAA guys in your starting line up everyday.
  9. I have no idea why they didn't bunt. There was no way Zavala, Sosa, or Andrus were going to put together a good a bat there. Especially knowing they were running the top of their order out in the bottom of the 10th.
  10. I guess I always assumed with the launch angle incorporated into the equation that it would account for the apex of the balls trajectory. Am I way off?
  11. I dont get this sometimes. Unless the wind is blowing in, how does a ball going 404 not get out when it was caught short of a 400 ft fence?
  12. Its the main problem. They've gotten no length from any of them, forcing guys in early to cover long stretches who should be relegated to mop up duty. Now they are getting exposed to long outings instead.
  13. Haven't hit a ball over 89 mph this inning.
  14. Vinnie Dubber commented that last year he played injured for most of the year as well because he felt that with everyone else being out for extended periods of time he had to play. People like to crap on his facial features but the guy plays and plays a lot even if its to his detriment.
  15. So Vera would've gone 5 and given up 2 in Houston last week? He got hammered at times in High A yet he's ready to contribute at the major league level. The logic around here is lacking.
  16. Vera threw 35 innings last year after 2 years off. Yes he could be much worse.
  17. Those were actually change ups I believe. He still his 97 a couple of times that inning.
  18. Leury career war of 3.9 in 10 years. Yoan at 13.5 in 8 years. Not even close to being the same player. Everything tells you that including your eyes. And as a bench player Leury was fine for a couple of years. It wasn't his fault that Tony played him at every opportunity for 2 years.
  19. Yes, the guy hasn't been a superstar but outside of his first year in Boston, the guy has still had positive WAR, even last year. Total disaster.
  20. Somehow he's arguably been their best player for the first 3 games of the season. My god the overreactions through 3 games are spectacular.
  21. You do realize how his season at AAA started last year correct?
