QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 02:12 PM) I think it is safe to say that David Otunga is one of the more boring talkers I think he brings nothing of any interest to the table whatsoever. Virgil had more charisma. -
QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 06:51 PM) bad loss. The B's has really been hit with the injury bug and been sputtering as of late so maybe this will get Thomas back in a hot zone so the team can reel off some wins. I don't know about that. The word is the B's were hoping to play Rask more in the stretch run to rest Thomas, but do they have that kind of confidence in Turco?

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 07:08 AM) Fell asleep really early and only saw Rock's promo by the Boston Harbor. So he was actually there because I thought he was just doing another via satellite promo after that. I thought the Boston Harbor promo was pretty funny actually. WHat 4th demension of hell do people own a Cena Gnome? Not to shoot down anyone opinions, and I liked Rock's ring work a lot, but his mic work was not one of the best of all time. He was repetitive and unoriginal at times. Gimme Flair, Heenan, Austin, Roberts, Savage, even the Legion of Doom ahead of Rock on the mic. He has a lot of energy, without a doubt, but most of it reaked of bad Gerwitz writing. Well, maybe Hawk and Ellering from the LOD, but ANIMAL??? Yeeeeeesh.... I'd add Jesse Ventura, Nick Bockwinkel ("cretinous humanoids"), Roddy Piper and Mick Foley over the Rock, but that's just my personal preference. A lot of people loved (and still do love) what the Rock does on the mic, but as usual lately, Vince knows what the people want and he's giving them the opposite. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 28, 2012 -> 04:57 AM) Jericho/Punk stuff at the beginning, on the other hand, awesome. That promo is what I've been waiting to see from them. Great stuff back and forth. -
QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Feb 26, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) United Center parking STARTS at $27. Bears Parking STARTS AT $35. I never said they're the only ones gouging the fans.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 26, 2012 -> 12:35 AM) Jack Skille says "hello Mr. Critic" Good point - did Skille change his name to Frolik when he went into the Goalless Protection Program?

I haven't parked at the ballpark in years, but it's still absolute bulls*** to charge 25 dollars for a parking space for a ballgame. That said, the price of parking won't be the reason I go to fewer games this year.
-
QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Feb 25, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Frolik is trash Rarely has someone skated so much and so quickly to accomplish so little. I really wish he was skating quickly and pointlessly in Rockford right now.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 21, 2012 -> 04:56 AM) And now for my booker hat.... I would of had Santino and Jericho as the last two last night with Santino getting the surprise W. Than Jericho could cry that he was never eliminated from the Chamber and should never have had to win a battle royale. Jericho vs. Santino for the spot at Mania, Jericho wins. Than 3 weeks of promos to build Punk/Jericho. No need to rush things. This is solid. Gives Santino a nice push, throws some intrigue into what is an obvious WM matchup, makes Jericho look weak yet strong from winning his way back into the title picture. It's good all the way around. I think Vince hates the Internet so much because the Internet bookers are better than his bookers 100% of the time. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 19, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) Sting left a cryptic message on his twitter "Im done" It's all storyline. There are spoilers out there that say what this pertains to. It's not fascinating. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 08:05 AM) It has been amazingly bad. Maybe they need to quit hanging out with the Sox. The last time I saw a good team go to s*** like this was the second half of the 2006 Sox season.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 07:00 PM) If Miller went to a playoff team then I bet the old Ryan Miller would show up. He appears dejected with the way the season has gone and probably doesnt have much respect for his teammates. Miller's actually been playing much better lately, as have the Sabres. ....unlike the Blackhawks....

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 05:34 PM) Sounds like all of TNA's roster and half of WWE's roster True. -
QUOTE (sunofgold @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 10:23 PM) I read in another article that Fukudome has a helicopter swing and will spin around 360 degree sometimes when he strikeouts. Well, I don't remember that but heck at least he will look interesting when he strike out. He absolutely does that. My cousin is a big Cubs fan and that was a pet peeve of his about Fukudome.

Cheap, low-expectation depth signing. I see nothing wrong with it.

Just read a report this morning that TNA sent Vince Russo home from the PPV last night and bought out the remainder of his contract. If they could do the same with Hulk Hogan, maybe they'd have something going on. Also heard that David Lagana (former member of WWE creative, has also worked with TNA and ROH in the past as well as hosting the very entertaining "Formerly Creative" podcast) has been helping out with TNA storylines and backstage organization lately. Couldn't hurt to have him around. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 13, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) Sorry, I guess I should have stated a "popular" artist. Yeah, popular and good are often two very different things.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 09:38 AM) Like it or not, whenever an artist or public figure tragically dies young, suddenly their work becomes more and more acclaimed than while they were living. Didn't happen for Thin Lizzy, who, in my humble opinion, were better than any other band mentioned in this thread. As for Pearl Jam, I like a few of their songs, but probably not enough to compile a very long playlist on my iPod. State of Love and Trust is a great song, though.

If this team is failing because they lack Daniel Carcillo, it was not a serious title contender anyway.
-
I like the music on the new VH, but I hate the vocals and lyrics. David Lee Roth is WAY past his "sell-by" date.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jan 26, 2012 -> 05:08 PM) Me too. I've always loved the red pinstripes. My giveaway memory of those unis is of Chicken Unlimited Jacket Day. That vinyl and rubber banded atrocity cut off my circulation at both wrists, and made me sweat profusely and smell like a chemical factory. Oh how I loved it. YES!! That windbreaker (way too thin material to really be called a jacket) was awful/awesome!
