QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) If "Beer Pong" was a winter event, you'd be more into it. Beer Pong is definitely a summer event. -
Thank you, Frank, for being the premier "stop and watch" player in all of baseball in the early 90's. Thank you, Frank, for the boost you provided to the Sox in the middle of 2005. Thank you, Frank, for being so vocal against PED's when no one else was. Enjoy your induction into the Hall Of Fame! Good Ol' #35

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) I just never got into WInter Olympics, even as a kid. None of the sports interest me. I'll watch hockey this year, but nothing else. I'll watch the Wolves. I have no interest at all in the Olympics. Never have. -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 11:09 AM) Thats why I have no problem with them turning it into a Hart/Cena v. McMahon/Batista match. Except for the part where I have to watch Cena and Batista wrestle, I agree. -

Not bad for a part-time temp job: - There is speculation that Bret Hart is being paid $500,000 for the current storyline in WWE plus a big WrestleMania bonus. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 10:04 AM) I just want to see the sharpshooter one more time There's about a 100% chance you'll get to see that. It was 99.5%, but then Bret teased it on Raw, so that shot it up to 100%. -

I think the Bret/Vince match, whatever form it takes, is going to be good only for nostalgia. With the limitations both men have now, I think the match itself has the potential to be a cringe-fest. Hopefully Bret has one more good match inside him, but I'm not optimistic. -
QUOTE (hogan873 @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 08:32 AM) It's strange what we remember about that day. It truly was a beautiful day (in New York and here) until one of the most horrifying events I can remember happened. The thing I remember most is how weird the sky looked with no airplanes at all. I live near Midway Airport, so I'm used to seeing planes all the time. So odd to see an empty sky, especially as clear as it was that day.

Well, I was afraid of this: - Ric Flair told The Virginian-Pilot in a new interview that he will be wrestling in TNA "sooner than later." Flair also said he will most likely be involved in a storyline with Hulk Hogan. Flair noted that TNA is making changes for the better and that things in the company are happening quickly. I was hoping Flair would just stick to managing and not show his Dick The Bruiser body anymore, but no such luck. Flair and Hogan in the ring? No need for slow motion replays, they'll have slow motion live action. I wonder what "changes for the better" he's talking about? His returning to active wrestling ain't one of 'em. -
QUOTE (The Beast @ Feb 10, 2010 -> 09:37 AM) So let me get this straight. Hypothetically, I approach girl A at the bar and say "Hi, my name is Ross" and start up a conversation. When do you stop being nice and start being arrogant or rude to get said girl A to chase after you? Naturally, I would want to know what they are studying and what they are into with their life instead of just what they are doing later on and what they are drinking at the moment. When are we supposed to go up and after the initial point of contact start being a dick? Do we need to play hard to get as well? I'm not an arrogant and cocky guy and bars/clubs aren't really my scene, but I would like to succeed in this given situation, that's for sure. Enlighten me about nice guys "finishing last" and how those nice guys might want to approach those situations. You say "Hi, my name is Ross....b****....and I know you want it!" ...or is that too soon???

I was IM'ing a friend this morning who's a Cub fan and I came up with my prediction for Alfonso Soriano's 2010 season, as told by Lou Piniella: (feel free to add your own Foghorn Leghorn-style stuttering) "Fonzie's finally healthy and we predict good things out of him this year"........ "well, Fonzie tweaked his hammy, we don't think it's anything serious"....... "we're hoping Fonzie can do light workouts pretty soon - we like the job Sammy Fuld has done for us filling in for Soriano, but we're looking forward to Fonzie coming back and doing what he does"....... "it's been a slow process for Fonzie, he's battling, but the leg is still a problem for him"....... "we're gonna shut Fonzie down, now that we're eliminated - let's get him healthy, let him do his winter routine and he'll be back at it strong in 2011!"

QUOTE (chwhtsox @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) The worse you treat a woman the more she'll want you. Nice guys finish last, always. This doesn't mean you have the green light to smack the s*** out of her. It's a very fine line that should only be walked by an experienced ***hole. This is helpful for the next time. You won't be able to pull it off now because she knows you too well. Being an ***hole won't come off as natural at this point, it will seem forced and backfire on you. For now, be the rebound guy. Be the shoulder she can cry on and once the moment is right, take full advantage of the situation. At this point you're just trying to get whatever you can. The OJ avatar next to this post is a nice touch.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Feb 10, 2010 -> 08:15 AM) I think I am moving in with my girlfriend...this can totally blow up in my face but I guess we have to just take chances in life sometimes. I would recommend living together to any couple who are thinking about getting married someday.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 02:16 PM) You need to give Niemi a tryout... start 9 of 12 and see how the stats look after that. I'm The Critic, and I endorse this message! The way Niemi's been playing, he deserves an extended look to find out if he's a #1 goalie yet. If that means you pass the deadline without acquiring a goalie, so be it.

QUOTE (juddling @ Feb 4, 2010 -> 12:50 AM) Well....if Cena's hurting a bit....maybe Vince should go get this kid to take his place. Holy Crap! That kid has an old man belly already, complete with titty side-tanks! I loved the way he took the belt off like it was underwear. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2010 -> 02:22 PM) Joe Fallon? Uh, whatever happen to Crawford? Crawford and Fallon's stats are virtually identical for Rockford, so maybe they just wanted to give Fallon a taste of life in the NHL, since Crawford's already been up a few times. Fallon's 13-9-1, Crawford's 11-9-2. Fallon's GA is 2.64. So is Crawford's. Fallon's save % is .911. Crawford's is .912.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 31, 2010 -> 07:17 PM) The selling out of Green Day is now official American Idiot the musical? Really? Agreed. They haven't been a punk band for a long time, but that was about the least "punk" thing they could do. I know some people will say "the punk thing to do is to do something that's not seen as punk", but it wasn't even interesting, it was really just lame and flat and typical. If it's that bad with them performing the song along with the actors, I shudder at the thought of a Green Day musical without them playing. Awful.
