  1. Elite man management that us posters would never understand like larussa and you; both elite managers of men. Rule 1 of man management; make everyone who you lead hate your guts, question your level of intelligence, and publicly ridicule you repeatedly. Rule 2, double down and dig an even deeper grave of disdain among the group and assure none of them respect you.
  2. But did you know larussa has managed more than 5000 games?
  3. Vafan cited the amount of games larussa managed more times in that post than the amount of times larussa has apologized for drinking and driving. That's an impressive feat by any means. Imagine typing that out over and over and thinking that sells the point somehow.
  4. Larussa was so worried about yermin getting thrown at and hurt he said he had no problem with the Twins doing exactly that. Good call!
  5. Lol pal you are just too far gone at this point to take seriously in anyway
  6. If only your athleticism and baseball skills weren't more in line with tanner the booger eating spaz than a big leaguer this would have some meaning.
  7. Yermin Bobby: With all due respect Mr LaRussa, I didn't realize you had experimental surgery to have your balls removed! LaRussa: What did you just say to me??! Yermin Bobby: Well, I said with all due respect! LaRussa: That doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want to say to me! Yermin: Sure as heck does! It's in the CBA!
  8. Something being completely ignored in the sign gate situation is that Astudillo was literally catching the ball and starting to throw - there was no pause. Yermin didn't step out of the box so he wouldn't have been able to even get a sign with the time between pitches.
  9. Guys, could you please cool it? You're really ruining Harry Chapas experience and joy as a fan by being critical of LaRussa.
  10. That same poster has gone on to praise his man management as recently as this past week. I am hopeful the stubbornness for some posters will continue because I need a good laugh every now and then!
  11. The game has always been about the players for dusty, never ever about dusty. To the contrary, the game has always been about Tony and what he gets out of HIS players. They are polar opposites. Tony larussa is the joe west of managers. Thinks fans pay to watch him count on his fingers how long the replay timer is lol
  12. Never wished for him to die, just wanted him to come down with a bad throat ailment that prevented him from speaking and therefore had to step down very honorably!
  13. The issue here is Tony doesn't think he did nothing wrong. Tony wanted the world to know he would never let his player swing there because Tony is stuck in an era that is long gone and he feels he is the last torch bearer from that era of crusty old fucks controlling the game from their dugout.
  14. And the players know this. The nonsense earlier in the thread about larussa protecting his players by taking blame looks even funnier now. Tony thinks he's a teacher or a dad, not a professional coach. The old father figure nonsense was always offensive and professional sports have moved on. Mentors earn respect via support, not ridicule and snide criticism. The game past Tony by a decade ago and now it's lapped him multiple times since then. I'm convinced he had already lost the clubhouse earlier but this was just a dagger. Even shitty managers defend their guys.
  15. It's somehow been much worse than I expected. This was his first chance to back the style of play he claimed he would when asked about Tim specifically after the hire, and instead of backing it he said his guy deserved to be thrown at. That's amazing
  16. More fake national writer reports, and own-player comments. Everyone here is clueless, Tony is getting the most out of his guys and they love playing for him!
  17. This is honestly a good point. This whole nonsense that they didn't throw at his head so no biggie is laughable. 93mph could literally break a knee cap, an ankle, a wrist. Tony was fine with one of his best players potentially being injured because he hit a home run, it's just a joke. I now get why Tim was so vocal in the dugout while this was going down today. He was showing support for his guy and sticking it to his manager
  18. There's not a single player defending larussa. Larussa is just out of touch. I'd guess he sits in his office pregame and post, never talks with his guys and just shows up. This situation has shown these guys can not stand his ass.
  19. For the 100000th time you can enjoy the players and team- in fact, I enjoy them so much it makes me hate larussa that much more for trying to take the joy out of how they play and for literally attacking his own guys and never defending them.
  20. This pos has attacked his own team more than he's defended it. This is fucking unbelievable
  21. Have you lost your mind? You came at me for commenting on larussa, not a poster, and now you're crying? Countless posters have ripped him in this thread and you can't stop coming at me and then cry that I degraded you? Lol unbelievable stuff.
  22. Larussa hasn't defended his own guys ONCE this season against bad umpiring or opposition trash talk, but he's now attacked his own team and player. The guy is just a clown.
