i get that it wasn't hard hit, but it was a hit. He's a pitcher. He had a WHIP of 3 in his 1 inning of work. He's an elite reliever. I guarantee you Bummer isn't blaming Madrigal, or Grandal, for how he pitched. He blew the game. It happens. He probably won't do that much.

outside of the error, bummer gave up 2 hits and a walk and people in here saying he did enough to get out of the inning. SMH.

yes, pitchers throw the pitches they want to throw. hence how they shake off catchers. blaming a catcher for a pitch a pitcher decided to throw is literally hilarious. not surprising you were a pitcher; they love to blame everyone else for their decisions.

part of being an elite framer - the best in the game by many accounts - relates to being vulnerable to passed balls at times. It's not lazyness, it's how you have to receive the ball.

yeah, i don't think he's suddenly a bad defensive player. i do believe it's in his head a little right now. he'll likely be fine defensively when it's all said and done, but it's been by far the most disappointing thing about his big league tenure so far

ah yes.... last year, the avg team made 31 challenges total for the entire season. The odds that there would be a closer play than that in the bottom of the 7th was literally about 1/10000.
