  1. Nice, just enough time for him to bury the Sox in the standings. That would be a very White Sox move. Sox move to like 10-12 back, and then they fire the manager with the season already, essentially, over lol.
  2. He's honestly been worse than I ever even thought was possible for a manager. The guys are never prepared, they don't give good efforts, they play dumb baseball and never correct it... there's zero accountability. The team, that once got along great now has huge rifts. He never puts guys in positions to succeed, his strategic decisions are based on guys he personally likes more - instead of who is actually better. It honestly feels like he's sabotaging the team on purpose. I heard him say the other day that he never talks to players in his office because it's too confrontational and he doesn't like to call guys out individually. He calls things out in group settings, or talks to guys on the field in their comfort zone. It's honestly fucking hilarious. It's too mean to talk to guys one on one in his office so he doesn't do it.
  3. I don't disagree with your general premise, but you're giving a lot of credit to a mouthpiece. Pretending that Nightengale "validated" this leak before rolling with it is laughable.
  4. YeH, if you can't overcome a couple bad managerial decisions against the Tigers you just stink.
  5. Sure. I'm just not pinning this loss on Tony. These losses are on the players.
  6. The White Sox have 2 runs. Last night they had one. I hate la russa. Neither of these losses have anything to do with him.
  7. Ironically enough, Ricky did a nice job developing younger players and not allowing them to rest on their talent alone. He had issues - will never forget him having a panic attack in the dugout of a playoff game - but the development of these players has stopped which honestly leads me to believe that the effort to develop them has stopped with La Russa in charge. They now just do what they want and have no guidance on further growth and problem areas. This has been the most disappointing and frustrating team of my lifetime and it's not close, and Rick Hahn watches this every night and has decided that nothing is going to be done about it.
  8. oh puleeze dude. What part of Hahn's history says he didn't want to waste big money on the bullpen? What part of Hahn's history as a GM signing free agents tells you that he was held hostage by La Russa?
  9. I've become convinced that this team doesn't prepare, doesn't scheme for situational baseball, doesn't practice, and there is simply no accountability. This is the symptom of a TLR, even more as he's this old, led ballclub. They're a rutter less ship with very little direction or guidance. I went back and watched the Moncada/Engel debacle, and got a brief glimpse on one of the replays of Boston - 10000% silent. Moncada is running to 2nd base on a ball being caught, and Boston isn't even yelling back. The onus at the end of the day will always be on the players, but the leadership of this team is non-existent, and the narrative has never ever been one of urgency. If I have to hear them talk about how there's a lot of season left... these guys like playing together.... it's just a rough patch... the injuries hurt... yada yada, I'm going to explode. That narrative comes from the top down. La Russa coaches with no urgency, and the players play with none. They're all going through the motions resting on the laurels of their "talent" which has been stated to them over and over again. The fact that this team has made absolutely no changes anywhere for a team that plays flat-out terrible baseball, given how high their expectations are, is a huge slap in the face to not just the fans but ALSO the players.
  10. The most underperoforming team in baseball this year and they've made zero changes.
  11. Tony has to be trolling at this point.
  12. Obviously in a 0-0 game in the 6tn after an off day the first guy up is tanner banks lol
  13. He really worked that count. There's more to baseball than scoring runs and winning. Those kind of results are easy to see as being good; only the greats can see the value in taking a called 3rd in order to show their teammates what a strike out looking looks like so they don't do it themselves.
  14. I'm honestly disgusted at white sox fans for not understanding that leury garcia has earned this playing time through sheer grit and tenacity. Tenacity that if white sox fans had it maybe the team would be winning more games. Instead were stuck with you all who don't appreciate who are holding players like Leury back. Makes me sick to my stomach!
