Cease To Padres per Passan
oh wow, so Fedde is worth more than Norby and Beavers?

Cease To Padres per Passan
So now we're looking at a starters last three starts? Got it.

Cease To Padres per Passan
If you took away cease two worst starts this year: 3.35 ERA/2.90 FIP Pretty damn good, eh?

Cease To Padres per Passan
Crochet is a unicorn. Cease is a really nice #2/3. Said elsewhere but CF is currently the weakest offensive position in baseball. Robert Is a huge upgrade for a team there.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Mets are in a wildcard race. I'd give anything to be the Mets right now.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Ray doesn't really belong on that list but yes, Ray was great. He was also 29 when he did that.

Cease To Padres per Passan
None of these pitchers were doing anywhere near what garrett crochet is doing.

Crochet preparing to be starter
Lol what?

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
The insane thing about crochet is he's just smashing with his fastball. Guy has legit room to grow and he's already the best in the business. Plus, didn't waste a bunch of innings in his youth because he was banged up. He's a little over the top from a shoulder perspective but guys either make it or not. At 27, wheeler was a huge injury risk. At 34, he's the most reliable and dependable stud arm in the game. Baseball is funny.

Wouldn't move for cease. Crochet is a 1-1 candidate with control.

Under what scenario would you consider offering Crochet and/or Kopech extensions?
Said it on April 5th and then more since then. Sox should have announced an extension the day they named him opening day starter. Sox were late to the party on crochet and now will move on from a generational talent despite having nothing on the payroll. The above numbers have gotten better and he now leads pitchers in fWAR by .5 wins. 15% better than everyone else.

Crochet AL June Pitcher of the Month
The best pitcher in baseball.

Grifol surprisingly defends Robert, annoys more Sox fans...must be trying to create any "supportive good vibes" possible before a trade?
It's even less than this because jimenez is a + runner. It was a 0% chance. People getting up in arms about this are completely delusional.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
The Sox are run by idiots. No idea why you think those guys trading proven mlb stars for young players THEY have highly rated is worthy of optimism. I'd be optimistic if they signed crochet to a 5 year extension instead of trading him. Sadly, sounds like crochet is 100% gone because he wasn't in the same ballpark as cheap-o-sox.

It's better being a pirates fan than a white sox fan. Amazing honestly

Brewers play in the NL central. Big difference.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
The Sox were certainly a trendy pick. There's no such thing as 3+ year windows with a collection of players. In 3 years, so much could change. The orioles appear to be positioned great bit that means nothing 3 years from now imo. Only way to stay elite for an extended period is typically to spend in addition to developing.

6/24 - Los Angeles Peg Entwistles @ Chicago Resurrection Marys - 7:10 pm, Paxton v. Crochet
Crochet didn't have his good command tonight. 5 singles. 6ks. No walks. Guys a machine even when he's battling.

6/22 - Chicago Chief Keefs @ Detroit J Dillas 12:10 pm
Bullpens by far the most easy thing to build/turn around in one season. They need some position players no doubt though.

The command of Thorpe so far has been very concerning.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Nothing in baseball nosier still than defensive metrics. I'm pretty sure there's not much worry about an elite defender suddenly becoming a liability. Even if he lost 1 step.
-
Story on Sox trade possibilities...
A lot of people seem to think teams move off valuations based on 100 ABs. CF is the weakest offensively it's ever been - in MLB history. It's the weakest offensive position in baseball. Doubt many are too worried about Roberts 171 babip.

I agree with your sentiment but am very confident saying colas is not a big leaguer.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Colas is one of the worst players I've ever watched. Does nothing well

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Why would the Sox trade for more pitching?
