Keuchel to Sox, 3 years, 55.55 million; 4th year team option
It's a vesting option that becomes a team option if it doesn't vest.

If he gets so bad to the point you can't have that option vest, it won't. Really don't think it's a big deal.

That sounds like it's not a vesting option?

What are we waiting on?
I'm guessing the League Office just has yet to process the paperwork.

Sox Officially Sign Edwin Encarnacion (1YR/$12M), Kodi Medeiros DFA
I wonder if EE will even be in the lineup opening day, assuming Gio is pitching and whether or not McCann will catch him.

How good do YOU think we can be next season?
If you get breakouts from a few pitchers this very well could be a 100 win team. Probably not. But they COULD be that good

So What Happens to Zack Collins?
Because the front office is ready to raise their floor. 2020 is a go year.

So What Happens to Zack Collins?
Encarnacion is 37, I would bet on Collins getting a good look at some point.

The Sox' moves have me interested as a fan again
There does seem to be a Team That Was Promised feeling among fans.

Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
At present that is not true. Maybe a couple weeks into the season it'll be true that he's only still there for service time. But right now there are actually 5 more arms I trust more than him. If they were throwing Ross Detwiler I would agree.

Sox still looking at Puig?
I reckon Herrera will bounce back.

Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
While that's true, that doesn't necessarily mean he should be entitled a spot. As far as a grievance goes, he has nothing to stand on until he's shredding AAA and Gonzalez is awful or something.

Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
It's not clearly obvious that Kopech is one of the 5 best starters in the org at least.

Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
We see in Tampa Bay, that having Avi Garcia in the bottom of you're lineup is not a bad thing. Problem is, we counted on him to be much more than that. Now we have Avi expected to be the worst, or second worst bat in the lineup.

Sox still looking at Puig?
He's just very average. And very average isn't worth that headache.
-
Sox still looking at Puig?
Yasiel Puig is projected to be barely marginally better than Mazara.

Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
Because there aren't just Nolan Arenado's laying around to go get.

Steve Stone Hinting At Another Move: Not Puig / Castellanos
It's a small enough sample that they could just as easily win every game without Robert as they can lose every game with him.

2019 Lineup vs. 2020 Lineup WAR
2.4 for Robert is so sexy.

Keuchel to Sox, 3 years, 55.55 million; 4th year team option
Well yeah, I'm just saying I think there's a chunk of fans that are expecting like an all star or something.

I have a feeling many are going to very negatively react when Keuchal is just kinda average.
