I guess the "momentum" towards being competitive was just dumb luck?
He has more HBPs than singles this year. What. The. Hell

Even if it was his call, someone needs to get in his ear and tell him he's one of the better hitters in baseball so stop.

It says foul bunt on game day for the first pitch of Yoans AB. Is that true? If so, W T F

On their own I think both could be had, what I'm saying is it'd be kinda tough to get both at the same time. They both would take mid tier prospects and the Sox don't exactly have a plethora of those. Also I'm pretty sure Dietrich is under control in 2021 as well.

Minus Gerrit Cole, that isn't an offseason that can't imagine the White Sox having. Trading for Nimmo and Dietrich would be pretty tough though I think. But I really would like them both, I need people who know how to take a gd walk.

Dammit, I knew something was off

The biggest thing is that the bottom of the league is such a mess. There are sooooo many teams tanking that the Sox have absolutely no shot of catching, short of completely starting over. They need to find some exit velocity ASAP

They might not compete, but it won't and absolutely should not be for a lack of trying. Punting another year of controllable assets to get like the number 8 pick at best is the absolute dumbest thing they could do.

The Sox are 10 months away from having one of the best young cores in baseball that runs between 7 and 10 guys deep, all pre-arb or on long extensions. Doubt the FO all you want, but 6 games in June doesn’t change the fact that they’re in the best long term position they’ve ever been, and that that position is real close to being bearing fruit.

Someone can beat that. I’m not sure who else is interested, but that could be topped

Mwrrifield scores on that yesterday

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
Are you actually anticipating this much activity? I'd be pretty shocked if they make more than a move or two. Getting a hold of nimmo would be pretty nice though.

To Sell or Not to Sell?
More or less the approach I was hoping they’d take.

Eloy going on IL
That’s a lot of reading, so I’ll have to dig into it after work but I’m hesitant to think it’s as simple as ‘Kids are more specialized, Kids get hurt more, therefore it’s better to play multiple sports.’ It makes sense on its face, but it seems too convenient a story.

Eloy going on IL
This is an idea I’ve heard a lot in the past couple years, does that article provide any actual evidence?

7/17 Games
They play completely different positions, idk how you came to this conclusion

I mean, I'm not not going to jump to conclusions

Eloy going on IL
Yeah this was much more in an inexperience play than a ‘Whoa what in God’s green earth is he doing out there’

Eloy going on IL
Honestly after the showing in the OF today, he’s be a welcome face.
