The issue here is not where was he, the issue is that Pedro had no idea we were lacking a coach and no idea how to handle it outside of "anyone grab a helmet!" This organization, top to bottom, struggles with basic day to day operations the way no other franchise does.

It'll change nothing. I was delusional yesterday thinking an 0-10 start might get pedro fired but the organization is expecting a 100 loss season. Nothing will change. Just less and less people caring.

This is not fun, and a 100 loss season accomplishes nothing. Jerry refuses to invest with money hard working sox fans fork over to him hand over fist. My kids are both at an impressionable age for baseball and they're already tired of all the losing. The entire organization is trash and it wasn't always this way. This is not fun bad.

It's quite astounding how much damage the Hahn/Williams era did. The organization may never recover. Certainly not anytime soon.

I get all this as well. Hopefully it does sort itself out. Hopefully it's not just Pedro not wanting to make a decision. Personally I have trouble trusting a guy who pitched Hanser Alberto on Opening Day last year.

I get that to some extent, but a bullpen functions best when pitchers know their roles. I'd honestly rather he pick a closer randomly then to just constantly be shifting.

No but the kid can't get out of the second inning. Put him in his most successful position hes had from the last few seasons and see if he can regain confidence. It seems they're trying to promote competition in camp so rewarding someone who is struggling would counter that.
