  1. Sorry. I work my ass off at a dangerous job for a fraction of the paycheck they bring home. If I'm going to spend my hard earned money to go to a ballpark, pay exorbitant prices, and watch a game I'd give my left arm to play for a living, then I expect effort. Not jogging on ground balls, not sloppy lazy mistakes, not lethargic overall play and mentally lazy at bats, not flipping off fans. If this team was busting its ass constantly and still failing I'd stand and have their backs every time. The effort put forth by a good chunk of these players on this team is disrespectful to fans like me and kids in the stands as far as I'm concerned, so we have every right to expect better. I don't think it's too much to ask of grown men playing a child's game for millions of dollars. They don't want an angry crowd, do better.
  2. It's clear the problem here is that we're all not being positive enough.
  3. It's not Pedro's fault, but also he's been horrible so far. Both things can be true.
  4. His performance is literally part of the reason they're not competitive.
  5. This organization has been coddling most of these players since they got here. It's why they are the way they are.
  6. It's always pretty obvious when Joe doesn't have it yet Pedro constantly leaves him.
  7. At this point TA just needs a defensive replacement in tight games.
  8. RACISM! .....speaking of tired acts. One can differentiate between a player who has trouble coordinating defensively and a player who chooses to jog down the line consistently. Sox fans like watching players who bust their ass. You're the only one constantly focusing on race. Nobody ever dogged Abreu on effort, because he gave it.
  9. 2 of our 4 hitters in the 9th can barely get down the line. If Moncada is hurt, IL him. If he's not, sit him for Burger. Enough is enough.
  10. "games aren’t typically considered for cancellation until it reaches the 200 range, according to Melvin." Last reading in NY was 377.
  11. If they cancel tonight's game do you skip Lynn in the rotation?
  12. I've heard the same regarding all three players you mentioned. Specifically Grandal. If they could've gotten rid of him already they would have.
  13. Only in this organization does one hit a walk off grand slam, then sit the next game.
  14. Meh, when I was playing I had plenty of coaches I had to tune out due to bad advice/know it all attitude. I'd imagine that'd be hard for someone drafted out of college to a major league organization. You want to come in and do what you're told. There are so many levels in an mlb organization it's probably a whirlwind of info for these young players coming from guys that failed themselves. Blame to go around? Sure. But good/bad coaching matters too. Sometimes too much.
  15. Burger hits a walk off grand slam in his first start this weekend. Fitting. Go win 3 in New York.
  16. Lol at Vaughn motioning for Robert to run as Robert casually walks back to the bag.
  17. This team will never win more than 4 or 5 in a row because once they stack a few they just phone one in. Such an infuriating group to watch.
