Why did Grifol burn through both our lefties in game 1 of a 4 game set? Not that Bummer sitting out a game is a loss but that was a head scratcher to me.

Bad bullpen management but an absolutely lifeless effort for what would've been a pretty good ballgame to win for momentum. 20 - 29 sounds a lot better than 19 - 30.....how much better I can't say. Horsesh#t effort tonight by all but Scholtens.

Not to be nitpicky but didn't they win back to back series against the twins and reds? One can be forgiven for forgetting any highlights thus far in 2023. All that said they need to rattle off 5 or 6 in a row to "feel" some real progress.

If they can win tomorrow then the series in Cleveland becomes pretty large. 2 out of 3 there would be essential to start clawing back into this thing.

Bad baserunning sure but that was just heads up veteran instinct from Greinke. Nobody could anticipate him in the location right there with them missing the 3rd base cutoff.

Why run right there? So if he's out Grandal can lead off the next inning with a single that'll take 3 hits to get him in. What are they doing?
