  1. 3 automatic outs in a row comes up and bites us there.
  2. Minnie had a few skeletons in his closet. Point is though to throw some kind of racial argument into the mix is hot garbage. For a fanbase that worships guy like Allen, Baines and Thomas and Abreu. It's lazy self delusion.
  3. It's easy to prove your point when you omit information.
  4. Honestly if he feels he didn't have time lead off and focus because pitchers are now operating much faster, it makes all the sense in the world why he'd say that. Nonetheless, adapt. All the other teams have.
  5. So constantly impressed at how they find new ways to f up.
  6. I chose to watch "Air" tonight with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon instead of this trash. Made the right choice apparently. JR is going to lose this organization's most die hard and steadfast fans and its nobody's fault but his own at this point.
  7. I still think the power is in there. It's going to take a little while away from Menechino for some of these guys to break away from what he was pushing. If he hasn't flashed the power by the end of the year, or had say a month or two where he pops 10 hr, then maybe start to explore other options. But I'd definitely hang onto him.
  8. “We came out flat and I felt like we stayed flat the whole game,” starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel said. “We’ve got some guys coming out and taking professional at-bats, being professional on the mound and doing what it takes to win and we’ve got some guys going through the motions. So we need to clean a lot of things up. If we want to be in this thing at the end of the season, we need to start that now.” That's a quote from Dallas in 2020. Foreshadowing of what was to come. Dude pitched like garbage on his way out but maybe the reason he was so "unlikable" here is because he refused to settle into the culture of complacency.
  9. To be fair I don't think the author of the thread intended to insinuate "this is the most unlikeable team since the 2000 club." But rather this is the least likeable team in the last 23 years starting with 2000. Though I hated 2007 equally. Luis Terrera, Ryan bukvich and Andy Gonzalez are just a few names in there that still induce a gag reflex. But at least they tried.....they just had no talent.
  10. Agreed. But even 3 of 4 puts them 9 under which is already a 5 game improvement from their rock bottom. A pretty nice amount to make up in just over a week. Gotta keep pushing and have a nice, solid May.
  11. Love the enthusiasm here. Take down the GM for a bad rundown. Completely illogical but ill f'n take it! I got your back.....lol this organization has broken our brains.
  12. Fortunately DH is the one area where we're not hurting for options. Though of course it comes as he's heating up.
  13. Hanser has shown absolutely nothing. What a mess.
  14. Ha fair observation. I think the lens is always tight on him because he, imo, has the highest potential. He was my favorite piece of the rebuild in that I watched him closely in Bostons system. And if he lives up to 2019 moncada which is how he started, he'll be a massive addition.
  15. I suppose the biggest problem is the lack of communication regarding his condition. Which opens the door to speculation.
  16. Awesome. Moncada is my 5 yr old and mines favorite player but somehow racism. That was a completely classless and ignorant response.
  17. Would be a great time for Moncada to wake up and come back. Still don't really by the "disc" issue.
  18. Giolito better have no-hitter stuff with this lineup today.
  19. That change up us fun to watch. He pitched with a lot of confidence. It's nice to see out of the pen.
  20. That was a really nice save.
  21. Tendi wins it in the 1st and 10th. Very nice.
  22. Ugh, no Bummer....please
